This tea has a lot of flavor. Its robust and brisk and has a thick malty smell and taste like assam teas. It actually reminds me of coffee in the morning. The mouthfeel is there along with the caffeine kick. This is a great tea to wake up to.

This tea taste better this morning. The tea is smooth, spicy, and slightly sweet. It has a rich earthy smell to it. I’m even getting nice chocolate notes from this tea. Maybe morning is the best time for this tea, but I intend to try it again this afternoon to see what gives. No caramel yet but I intend to keep trying. I’m going to do a little research on Steepster today to check the amount of tea, steeping times, and temp of water on Yunnans to see if I can duplicate it.

This is an interesting tea as I’m getting orange notes from it. A 4 min steep yields a med-dark color liquid. The smell is clean, just a little earthy. This is a mild tea, no bitterness. The tea has a slightly sweet taste and has a dry aftertaste. Very enjoyable.

This Yunnan does have the classic chocolate nuances and the peppery finish. A very earthy and slightly sweet tea. It is also very smooth with no bitterness. I have had better Yunnans, but not at this price point. It is a very nice cup of tea.

This has to be one of the best breakfast blends I have drank. I can taste the assam and it makes for one brisk robust cup of tea. The tea steeps up a dark amber color. It will really wake you up and its a very clean cup of tea. Its very smooth with no bitterness and just a touch of astringency. This very well may become my go to breakfast tea.

drank Paris by Harney & Sons

Just sitting here on a cold rainy Sunday drinking Paris. With so much hooplah on Steepster the last few days about this tea I figured I may as well devote a whole day to this wonderful tasting tea. It has a very berry taste and is great with no additives. I prefer my teas that way and only add milk or splenda if the tea is too strong or needs something so I can drink it. This tea is perfect and its a good day for basketball and Paris. By the way, my wife is drinking Florence.

Only assam in the cupboard right now, waiting for an order due Monday. This is an ok assam, nothing great but it does the job. I don’t get enough assam tea taste from this one.
This is a very pretty tea but taste is what makes the grade.

drank Tea's Tea Golden Oolong by Ito En
429 tasting notes

I picked this up yesterday at Shaws. Its in a different bottle than the Teas tea. It just says Ito En Golden Oolong tea. This is a delicious unsweetened Oolong ice tea. It tastes Oolong. The tea has a very robust clean taste and I will buy it again. I just wish it wasn’t 1.99 a bottle.

This is a very nice Oolong. Very smooth with no bitterness and a toasty nuttiness in the cup. This is the only Oolong in my cupboard right now, but I intend on trying a few more.

I have been gone from steepster for the last 4 years traveling and getting to know my wife of 45 years better. Now we have retired to North Florida from Maine. We now eat organic and limit our tea selections to proven organic tea companies.
