421 Tasting Notes
Another sample sent along with my recent order. Smells super minty and I must say I like that! The taste is a nice blend of chocolate and mint. I’m not really getting the rooibos in this tea and that too is ok. I’m enjoying it and hope it doen’t knock me out too quickly tonight. Don’t get me wrong I want to sleep tonight. But not this early. I go to bed now and I’ll be up at 4am!
This is one of the free samples that came with my Utopia Tea order of a few weeks ago. I wish I could tell you why I selected it. But in this case I think the tea picked me. Actually I think that’s how I end up drinking most of the teas I own…they select me. This smells heavenly. I must admit more like Lavender and less like Jasmine. But I like both so I’m really ok with that. It tastes fantastic. Yet another tea I might have to add to the collection. ;)
Starting off my Saturday morning with a cup of this before I head off to a much needed massage. At first sniff (pre and post) steeping all I can smell is the lemongrass. This isn’t a bad thing, just my first impressions of a tea I don’t think I’ve had, but then again maybe I have. The taste is pretty amazing with a perfect mix of minty and well something else. But it’s a great kick off to my day of relaxation.
Preparation
This was fantastic! Which is why I’m glad I finally got online to order a larger amount (I only had a sample size). The flavors just exploded in my mouth and I could not get enough! I really think this will need to be a staple in my cupboard.
Preparation
This smelled amazing when I opened the sample tin. Once I brewed up a cup I wasn’t so sure if I would like it. I did, I did! This was actually a darn fine tea that relaxed me quite a bit. Very smooth and rich and super yummy. The lavender is wonderful…I didn’t get a purple liquid in my cup. :( I think I will need to add this one as a permanent tea in my cupboard!
I saw this in the market on Sunday and figured it was worth a shot. Sure it was almost 5 bucks, but I still added it to the cart. Also my husband was interested so that sealed the deal for me. This was pretty good. Very refreshing and enjoyable. Plus it was made with soy which made my day. Regular dairy products and I don’t talk anymore…
PLUS my husband loves it! WOOHOO….I got him to drink a sort of “tea” that he likes. We’ll be buying this one again.
I was super excited to come home and find that the postal service delivered my tea…sometimes they leave the dreaded orange card of doom. But this time it was home and waiting for me in the kitchen (hubby doesn’t ask anymore about new tea in the house).
So I figured I would give this one a go as it had a little caffeine in it and I’d like to stay up past 9pm tonight thanks. I’ve had white teas before but they were all flavored to the max so this is nice and refreshing with just a hint of sweet to it and very fragrant. I’m really glad I picked this one up when it was on special. :)
Preparation
First off I wish there was more of a description for this tea. But I wish a lot of things about The Whistling Kettle…story for another time. So it’s really late here and I wanted something chocolaty, but without the caffeine, so I dug this out of my tea bin. It smells a bit like mint chocolate chip if that makes any sense at all (mind you I’m tired). I opted to add ice as this seemed like the kind of tea that would be good iced….it is.
The mint and chocolate flavors are there. But there’s something about it that isn’t right and I can’t seem to put my finger on it at the moment. Thankfully it was a sample size and I only have maybe a cups worth left (if anyone wants it let me know).
