I’m not quite sure what tea I’m drinking – this was in the amazing box that Sil sent me – thank you….
The package says “Temi SFTGFOR1 First Flush Black Tea Rep. of Tea” but I think it might be:

Anyway – whatever it is – I went conservative with the steeping. There was about 1.5 tsp in the sample so I used all of it in my glass perfect mug, used 90C water for about 2 min.
That resulted in a golden (almost orange) liquor – this is probably a little under leafed and a little under steeped but I was afraid of the astringency. I’m still getting a little astringent but not as bad as I was expecting. This is a little straw ish (that’s my interpretation of somewhere between grass and woody) there is a little sweetness in the back. I’m not really familiar with this style of black tea – I had some bad experiences early in my black exploration and pretty much moved on over to the Chinese blacks. While this still isn’t to my tastes it’s not as bad as I remember them being….. interesting and happy to have tried it.

Hahaha that’s funny…no idea what that tea is…I’d have to go through my tasting notes.
