99 Tasting Notes
My favorite thing about a great white tea is not having to add any sweetener to it! :) I only steeped this for maybe a minute, so it’s flavor is light and smooth. This was a sample, and I already have a stash of silver needle white tea, but I may have to consider switching tea shops. <3
Preparation
This is a really good oolong (and I’m not a huge fan of oolong). By third steep, I was in love! It went from strong and even a bit bitter, to very floral and happiness and sunshine by the third and final steep (one minute, three minutes, five minutes). Next time I’ll try even shorter steeps to see just what the flavor does.
Preparation
I like the mint in this tea, but like others, I wasn’t able to get all of the powder to dissolve like I was hoping it would. It was kind of like drinking the last bit of the ramen broth—all the powder that you just chug at the end. The taste was good, though. I’ll have to experiment and see if I can get the powder to dissolve better. :)

This is the first tea I’ve tried with tulsi in it—it’s yummy and a very unique flavor. :) I’m a sucker for all things mint. I think I’d like this better iced, though, simply because it tastes a little basil-y.

I received a Mighty Leaf gift set for Christmas with the cutest teapot that holds about 1 liter. It came with a small selection of their sachets—I’ve never seen whole tea leaves in a fancy pouch before, so that’s convenient! :) I went ahead and dedicated one pouch to the whole pitcher and steeped for the usual time. I’ve yet to find my perfect Earl Grey, so I figured it’d be safer to go with a weaker brew and I can use the last two pouches together if I don’t mind the taste.
That being said, it’s rather good! The citrus isn’t as strong as Red Rose’s Earl Grey, it’s not as “burnt” tasting as Taylors, and I don’t taste a lot of the bitterness that are in some of the other tasting notes. I’m happy! Been craving a decent cup of Earl Grey for the last couple of months. Haha! xD
Flavors: Bergamot, Citrus
Preparation
This tea isn’t too fruity, but has a crisp-ness to it. I might have steeped it too long because it’s a little bitter. Hopefully not forgetting about it for twenty minutes next time will yield a better cup. Haha! /UserError
Preparation
This does not taste like it smells. It tastes just fruity—watermelon and strawberries. It’s good—but not what I expected. I can’t taste the tea at all; rather, it tastes like an herbal blend. I’d recommend it for those who like herbal, fruity teas.
Flavors: Fruity, Strawberry
Preparation
I forgot to add a sweetener to this, and I’m kind of glad I did! It’s sweet all by itself—tastes like a spiced apple pie or cider. I like the idea of adding cream to perhaps balance the sour apple. Yum! :)
Flavors: Apple, Cinnamon, Spices, Sweet
Preparation
Not only is this flowering tea absolutely beautiful, it’s delicious—whether I decide to steep it for five minutes or all day. The longer it steeps, the creamier it becomes. I’ve even had it as an iced tea. When they say you can steep it several times, I’m pretty sure that means indefinitely. I’ve re-steeped the same tea ball for three days before. That’s a lot of cups of tea! I eventually threw it away because I was ready to move on to another tea, finally. :) At some point it just becomes a utilitarian decoration on my desk!
