I just made myself a glass of this, iced. It didn’t need any sweeteners at all, though I was tempted to add a spoonful of honey. This tea has a light, lemony, fresh taste and I recommend it highly.

At the suggestion of a friend, I tried this as a latte with chocolate milk. The result? Not only is this tea delicious but it’s also quite decadent! It is very similar to ‘Read My Lips’ by David’s Tea, but definitely has a bit of rooibos flavor to it.

Something I look for in any tea with peppermint in it is how powerful the mint is and how long it lingers. This tea does not disappoint, and the mint does linger pleasantly but is not overpowering to the rest of the flavors in the tea.

drank Earl Grey by Tim Hortons

I’m quite fond of this tea in the same way that, when no one is looking, I’m fond of Mcdonald’s fries. This is to say that I don’t think it’s a good tea, but I secretly find it delicious. I have it whenever I’m visiting my parents who frequently (and perhaps obsessively) drink Tim Horton’s coffee.

It doesn’t really have an ‘authentic’ Earl Grey taste, but with a little milk and sugar it tastes like Kellogg’s Froot Loops.

drank Banana Nut Bread by DAVIDsTEA

I was a little hesitant about trying this tea, because I have a love-hate relationship with bananas… but I’m so glad that I did!

The suggested steeping time is 4-7 minutes, but I just left the tea in. I think this approach might be best. Some bits (I think it’s banana) floats to the top, but it’s all delicious anyway. This tea reminds me a little bit of the banana flavoured penicillin I had as a child, so depending on whether or not you liked that taste, you might like of hate this tea!

drank The Earl's Garden by DAVIDsTEA

Clearly, the Earl was a super spy. I say that because this tea is SECRET black tea disguised by the taste of a Herbal, Berry Tea. I agree with some of the other comments: it doesn’t taste like an Earl Grey at all.

I want to try it it iced and blended with lemonade though, I have a feeling that would be good.

I’m not fond of Earl Grey, though sometimes only the Earl will do. But I love the Earl’s Garden mad hot with a bit of stevia. No, not an Earl Grey, but the bergamot is there, dancing — if feverishly — with real (!) strawberry.

This tea reminds me of the Caribbean, which is pretty awesome considering I’m close to staring a Canadian Winter in the face.

What I love about white tea is the subtle taste and ‘White Malibu’ delivers just that with a sweet hint of coconut. If that on it’s own isn’t enough to make you love this tea, the fact that it smells just like rum ought to!

I enjoyed mine hot with sugar, but I think what I’d really like is to try it the way David’s Tea suggests: Iced, with a dash of rum…and sipped from a straw out of half a coconut (held by a cabana boy.)

This tea. My grandmother sent it to me in a ‘care package’ but I think she was just trying to unload it on me.

I tried it hot and couldn’t drink it. So, I thought I’d try it iced with a bit of lemon juice and that really didn’t help it either.

Bio

Hello, Steepster!

I’m a twenty-something who attends Concordia University studying English Lit and Irish Studies. I also work at an online store that sells party supplies and costumes! My life is literally a party everyday!

Besides my work/school I’m also a comic book lover. I love attending conventions and have, in the past, done so in costume! (In 2009 it was Sally Jupiter). I also co-author a web comic called Abe and Kroenen and plan on being the author for a couple more upcoming projects. You can check those all out on my website/blog if you’re interested!

Now! About tea!

Formerly an avid coffee drinker I realised that 1. I didn’t really like the taste and 2. I really wasn’t ever getting enough sleep. The switch to tea was, at first, a painful one as extensively my knowledge of tea reached only so far as what was available at Tim Hortons and what my grandmothers kept in their cupboards.

I had a roommate, however, that never drank coffee—and slowly but surely I found myself converted. Then, just last summer, I stumbled upon DavidsTea and my life was changed forever.

Besides David’s, I also visit Teaopia whenever I’m back in Ontario, I’ve recently uncovered Camellia Sinensis in Montreal and new place that I’m yet to try—Milly’s Boutique!

I’m also a strong believer in Twinings and The Stash Company, and I’ve recently ordered some teas from 52teas, The Republic of Tea and Andrews & Dunham and I’m eagerly awaiting their arrival!

P.S. I love to write, and I love tea so expect me to chatter about in my reviews quite a bit!
