Today I’m drinking an oolong I got in a swap with a blogger from Singapore, thanks Wilson. It is called Tie Lo Han oolong and it is quite good. It is lightly roasted from what I can tell.It had a roasted flavor in the first steep that began to go away by the second steep. By the last and fifth steep it was all but a memory. There was a hard to describe sweet flavor behind this roasted flavor. This was good tea that you just can’t get in the states.

I brewed this tea five times in a 220ml gaiwan with 9.3g leaf and boiling water. I gave it a 10 second rinse and a 10 minute rest. I steeped it for 5 sec, 5 sec, 7 sec, 15 sec, and 30 sec. Judging by the color in the fifth steep there were one or two steeps left to this tea had I wanted to continue.

Flavors: Roasted

Preparation
Boiling 0 min, 15 sec 9 g 7 OZ / 220 ML

I am Allan. I live and work in Long Island, New York. I have been amassing a tea collection for nearly two years and have spent way too much money. I now try to buy mostly Puerh as I like it most and it lasts nearly forever. Black tea has a habit of going bad. If anyone is interested in tea swaps I am open to ideas and have quite a cupboard.
