This tea is tasty but bitter. I may have oversteeped it a little. Will try again another time. I brewed it western style in an 18 oz teapot. I used 3 tsp tea with 195 degree water for 3 min. It is quite bitter. Bitterness is what I taste. I also get the malt and astringency. The flavor described as coffee is present. I had to add some honey to cut the bitterness. Could you tell this is bitter.

Flavors: Bitter

Preparation
195 °F / 90 °C 3 min, 0 sec 3 tsp 18 OZ / 532 ML

I am Allan. I live and work in Long Island, New York. I have been amassing a tea collection for nearly two years and have spent way too much money. I now try to buy mostly Puerh as I like it most and it lasts nearly forever. Black tea has a habit of going bad. If anyone is interested in tea swaps I am open to ideas and have quite a cupboard.
