21 Tasting Notes

My stomach was pretty unsettled this morning; there’s a stomach flu going around the town. Chose this one for my work tea today. I really appreciate the smoothness of the tea now, the smell relaxing too, and no bitterness despite three hours of my tea ball in the cup. I feel much better now. Somedays are just made for a basic green, and this was one of them.

Well, for me it wouldn’t be a daily tea, really. It does smell nice, and tastes pleasant. I like it, and drank two cups, and will drink it again. It just doesn’t get me excited about drinking, or craving it like some other teas. Good, but not stellar for me.

It’s a pleasant jasmine, nice and smooth, fragrant, and very tasty. But I tend to like my teas with a little twist to them. If you want something good and straightforward in a jasmine, this is a nice choice.

Much better today. I think this is one of those teas which is pretty sensitive to what you scoop out. A little orange peel and a bit of cranberry and it’s lovely. Miss the cranberry and it’s too bitter. I suspect no orange peel would be too sweet.

A little bitter today. Wonder if I ended up with too much orange peel or if it’s just I’m getting sick and my tastebuds are off?

Again, it’s one of those fruity greens I like. Not as sweet as some, it’s a very rounded flavour, with the lime, pineapple and apple not as sweet as you would think. The green underneath is nice and smooth, and it’s never been bitter. A very pleasant tea.
