I have such baby fever, but my husband just isn’t there yet. *Sigh. I hate waiting. It’s unbearable. How do couples ever agree on when to have kids? It reminds me of waiting for him to propose. I thought it would never happen. It eventually did, of course. And it was the perfect proposal. But I had to wait over a year more than I expected! I hope it’s not like that for having kids too.
I’m too traditional. We had talked about it enough that I knew he would eventually. He told me he literally woke up one day and thought to himself, “What am I waiting for?” And then went out and bought a ring that weekend. LOL! I just don’t want him to do the same thing with having children. I’m a planner, so I like to have things planned out and know when things are happening. He’s much more spontaneous.
Haha, oh, okay. No, I guess springing surprise proposals on someone would be considered more socially acceptable than springing a surprise baby on them.
Lol you guys are funny.
We had talked about kids a lot because it was always very important to me to be with someone who wanted children. I love children. We decided we wanted to travel first and then settle down and have our family. It sounds cliche but we knew that it was “the right time”
I hear you. My husband and I both agree we definitely want kids. But I feel like it’s the right time now, and he keeps saying it’s not. I even did some accounting from our last 2 years of income & expenses to prove we are financially stable enough to start a family now. Yet it’s still a no-go. It’s hard waiting for him to decide he’s ready.

Why didn’t you just propose yourself?

LOL! Yeah, I’m too honest to try that. Sorry to hijack your note, tigress_al!

Aw, that’s too bad that you have to wait. Just keep dropping hints about how cute babies are! Hopefully soon, he will be ready!
