376 Tasting Notes
Hands down one of my favorite teas. The aroma is just out of this world!! You can smell hints of cocoa, vanilla and a little nuttiness too. I agree that it doesn’t taste like coffee nor will it kick my love of coffee :) I like how it gives you a good kick in the morning. On of my favorite ways to have this tea is half mate and half Dr. Tea’s Imperial Pu-Erh…..Dark, Smooth, and oh so delicious! Mix with the Pu-Erh you can get a couple good steepings before it taste like flavored hot water.
Preparation
When I saw that Teavana had a new batch of blends I decided it’s time to go in and look for Christmas gifts ;) I picked up some the Thai tea and all I can tell you is this tea is fabulous! The aroma is fantastic, the flavor is great too. The anise star is not overpowering. I threw a dash of almond milk in it and reminded me of a wonderful Christmas tea. Well done Teavana! Definitely one of my new favs!
Preparation
I bought a box of this obviously because it was very well priced. I am a coffee drinker so the fact that is strong a little bitter doesn’t bother so much. It is my first experience with an Irish breakfast tea. It’s not fabulous but not terrible either. It’s one that I would keep on hand for variety.
One of my favorite coffee shops in the area keeps this tea on hand. It’s quite tasty for a bagged tea. I think Harney & Sons have some of the best bagged teas I have tasted. A light aroma, pale liquor, a nice light grassy flavor. For an inexpensive high quality bagged sencha I would say this is a good option.
I haven’t read too many of your reviews, but you must be pretty hard on the teas you review (not a bad thing). “quite tasty”, “some of the best baged teas”, and “high quality” don’t seem worthy of a 57.
I love peppermint herbals and have for many years. I had this tea at Border’s in the sachets that Harney & Sons has in their Royal Palace line. I was meeting the woman who is going to be my wife for the first time. I was a little nervous and peppermint tisanes have always been good for me to calm my stomach and nerves. I guess this tea has a little sentimentality to it for me.
This tea was my first in buying loose leaf tea. I saw it in the grocery store….I had a tea strainer I got as a gift but had never used. It’s a great option for gunpowder teas. It’s got that light smokiness that you would expect from a gunpowder and at a great price too and you can find it almost anywhere.
