drank Blueberry cream by Zen Tea
3141 tasting notes

Hopefully this will not be the last review I ever get to write for a Zen tea? Please don’t deprive me of my favorites forever, Zen! This is a decent enough no-caff option. Blueberry, apples, hibiscus, rosehips. There are little leaves that look like blackberry leaves that aren’t listed in the ingredients list, so that is questionable. Possibly using 1 3/4 teaspoons is the problem, but this one is mostly hibiscus which I don’t love. Definite blueberry flavor, but that takes a backseat to the hibiscus/rosehips. I don’t get the ‘cream’ flavor from the name, especially with the hibiscus involved, but there is a slight sweetness. I would LOVE this blend if there wasn’t hibiscus included.
Steep #1 // 1 3/4 teaspoons for a full mug// few minutes after boiling // 3 minute steep

I’m looking at Zen’s website to post this review and it looks like they took MANY teas off the sold out list? Maybe it’s a mistake though. So it’s worth another look if you were thinking of buying some teas.

I like this tea precisely BECAUSE it contains hibiscus.

You must be the one person who likes hibiscus then. :D I kid.

Most of the teas listed in my cupboard are actually sample sizes. I don’t really have 2,000 ounces of tea around here! Many of my teas have only one teaspoon left… maybe two. But I like keeping them in my cupboard list for reference to what I could be sipping. Usually, I write tasting notes once for each tea. I’m still drinking them, just not writing tasting notes each time!

My dislikes: hibiscus, ginger (unless in chai), turmeric, bee pollen, charcoal type flavors

My ratings:
95-100 – Super awesome deliciousness favorites – cupboard essential
80-95 – Also pretty delicious
65-80 – Pretty good
50-65 – Okay
1-50 – Probably won’t want to sip it again

I’m planning on being a Steepsterer as long as there IS a Steepster, so if you’re not hearing from me, that means something happened to my health… if you know what I mean. (Or as evidenced by the great computer hiatus of 2019, something happened to my computer.) :D

Happy sipping!
