Nice review yea for chocolate.

Janefan 15 years ago

My experience with the 52teas Malted Chocomate was similar – better chocolate flavor as it cooled to warm even cold. But I loved Florence hot! That tea has apparently ruined me for other chocolate blends. Guess I’ll have to buy some next month…

Ricky 15 years ago

I can’t wait to try the malted chocomate. I ordered it, but I did tell Frank to delay my shipping. I have to stop ordering tea and tea related items.

I think this tea might be decaf so it might not be the best breakfast tea, but whatever works for you. :)

And are you suuuure you don’t secretly long for those frou-frou tea parties with delicate flower-patterned pink china cups and tea danties? ;P

Ricky 15 years ago

Now you tell me =P That might be why I was nodding off at work all day until I had a second cup of tea in the afternoon.

Hey! That’s how I was drinking this tea, it’s called drinking with style ;) Correction though, pink little saucer cups too small for my hand with pink lilacs and butterflies. You were close ;)

That’s too bad! I hope it tastes better with milk. And I can’t wait to see your review for the Superior Jasmine Pearls!

Ricky 15 years ago

I’m sure it’ll be delicious with milk and sugar =P

I’ve been so tempted to try out those superior jasmine pearls, but I’ve been wanting to take a few photos of them and compare them with the other jasmine pearls. Maybe this weekend, but I have so much tea! Shanteaaaaa, what shall I do!

Nice review I so want to try this but sadly adagio dont accept my methods of payment.

Ricky 15 years ago

Why is that? You could try contacting them. They’re nice people, I’m sure you can work something out with them.

Erin 15 years ago

Sprinkles?! That sounds amazing! I MUST try this!

silvermage2000 15 years ago

Ricky 15 years ago

Jealous of your Mariage Freres! I’m glad it was pretty good as well! :)

Ricky 15 years ago

I have Alicia to thank for that. My faith in Mariage Freres has been restored! Well, it’s restored with the smell alone. Their tea smells amazing!

Alicia 15 years ago

Like I told you… after I put that collection togethe, let it sit in my truck (it only gets 40-75 degrees here on a good day) and returned after work to mail it off WOW! Tout ensemble they are a garden in bloom mais en seulement, they each have a distinct and charming personality.

And yes, this tea is very pale in colour.

What? No pictures? *is a sad puppy *

Shanti 15 years ago

,Ricky, which Zojirushi do you have? :)

Ricky 15 years ago

I don’t even need those fragrance plugins now. Not that I use them in the first place, just saying. It’s an alternative =P

Nope, no pictures. It’s just a tiny green pineapple =P

Umm, I have the four liter champagne one that does 140F,175F,195F,208F. I get weird temperatures because the water’s always at 208F and then I pour in cold water to drop the temperature rapidly. It’s a hit or miss game. Sometimes I get it right, sometimes I drop below =(

I love how honest your reviews are!

Southern Boy Teas 15 years ago

LOL. Love how you started with “Dear Frank”!

I’m really sorry this didn’t live up to your expectations. A lot of our in shop customers really enjoyed this as a tea shake. You might give that a try:

Brew up a small amount of the tea, extra strong and extra sweet.
While it’s still hot, toss it in a blender with some vanilla ice cream.
I would say you need about a 1:3 ratio of tea to ice cream, but it’s going to depend on how hot your tea is and how thick you like your shakes.

In the meantime, I’ll keep trying to create more that are as spectacular as the Pina Colada Honeybush.

silvermage2000 15 years ago

Nice review this is a tea I hope to try.

Ricky 15 years ago

Well, Frank, I wanted to dedicate this review to you, even though I kind of side tracked and started gearing it toward fellow Steepster members somewhere down the road. You mentioned I kept getting tea flavors that I didn’t particularly like, so I wanted to express my love for apple pie =P

Thanks for the float suggestion. It sounds delicious already. I could see how that might actually make this tea taste amazing. Well, here’s an idea, in the future you can rate your teas as 100 AND post up the recipes =P. It’s kind of funny because I was looking on the website for a latte recipe for this tea. I was wondering if I had to do anything special to it =P

Southern Boy Teas 15 years ago

I think I won’t be rating any of my teas in the future. I’ve already sent an email to Jason asking if he can remove the ratings I did submit.

Ricky 15 years ago

Soooo I realized what I have to do….. I have to fly out to Kansas and have a cup of tea prepared the right way by you ;)
