After days upon days of barely any rain (most farmers considering declaring emergencies due to drought) we are in for some rain!! Already had probably 5-10 mm last night, and a special weather advisory for rainfall amounts is in place today! Bring on the rain!! We need the water levels up!
Since it’s rainy today, my immediate thought for my tea in my travel mug was oolong (as puerh is just not the same in a travel mug, although it is my number 1 rainy day choice). This tea is ridiculously good for being in the travel mug!! It’s sweet and minerally and burnt sugar and cream…everything I want right now. The caffeine is doing weird things as usual (oolongs are the worst for my caffeine intolerance lol) but it’s worth it for this flavor. Some fruitiness in there too. I can’t believe how complex this brewed up considering it was a 2 min steep in my Brewt right into my travel mug! So good. Perfect for the day. Happy it’s raining, just hope we don’t flood now with the influx. See previous notes on this delicious tea!
Oh and in other news – my office is freaking Antarctica…so cold in here, yesterday I wore long sleeves and it was +25 outside…today, I am bundled up in 2 sweaters, a scarf, my autumn boots and socks. And I brought my coat, which I think I will need to put on in another hour or so. Everyone else also is freezing. Gotta love the HVAC system! ___ thank goodness for tea.

Doesn’t it stink to have a caffeine intolerance and be a tea lover at the same time?! It’s bizarre how different teas affect me differently. Pu ers never bother me, but Lapsang Suchong does.
I am better than I used to be with caffeine intolerance, well actually I used to be great, then bad, now so-so haha. It is quite unfortunate! Puerh is also pretty good for me, except some shengs and some stronger shus. Black teas are usually not the best, and oolongs seem to be one of the worst offenders :(
