290 Tasting Notes
Organic Coffee Chai is really more of a chai tea than coffee. There is really no coffee taste in there at all (sorry to break the news to you). The chai taste takes over, and that’s all there really is.
cardamom is the main ingredient that you taste. Then there’s the cinnamon and ginger. They all combine to make this beautifully balanced spice mix that makes your taste buds go WILD.
Well, first of all, if you’re expecting this tea to taste like carrot cake, you will be quite disappointed. But hey, we can’t expect too much all the time; it was a good effort!
Honestly, I was expecting there to be at least some nutmeg, cinnamon or cloves, pecans or walnuts because isn’t that what goes in carrot cake? Also, this tea is an oolong tea, but you would never know. It looks and tastes like it has a black tea base.
It kind of tastes like watery carrots hmmm with some sweetness from the apples and coconut. I drank a cup of it this morning and added a splash of milk and a pinch of sugar. Usually I drink my tea STRAIGHT ALL THE TIME NO EXCEPTIONS, but this morning I was feeling impulsive. So, while acting on my impulse, I was thinking about what to write about this tea. I concluded that with the added milk and sugar, it was better, creamier and it compliments all the flavors in the tea :)
So I’ll leave you with this: go try it before it’s gone! It’s worth it ;)Honeydew Mate is another good tea to drink in the morning. It’s a mate tea, so basically, it’s a stimulant! There are lots of melon pieces in this tea. Personally, I hate it when there are so few fruit pieces and so many tea leaves! But this is not the case here.
I wouldn’t think that honeydew would have this much flavor to offer in a tea (it is really quite a bland fruit itself), but this tea is bursting with fruity flavor!
Pom Tango was the second tea of this collection that I tried. #impressed. apparently there are pomegranate pieces in these, but I fail to see those (or taste them for that matter). The mango flavor stands out to me more than anything. It sweetens the black tea, and makes me excited about Spring!
Apparently it is so good that I will be day dreaming about it all day haha. Not so accurate. What I mean is that it’s not terrible, but there are better teas out there.
It has sencha green tea leaves, mango, safflower, marigold, natural and artificial mangousteen flavoring, artificial guava flavoring. Personally, I like my tea to be more natural than this.
The main thing that you can taste when you drink this tea is the green tea itself. It’s kind of boring, I was expecting more fruitiness with all these ingredients!
Copabanana, (the name comes from Copacabana)is the total opposite though. No caffeine, but AMAZING TASTE. It took a while for it to grow on me, but now, I can’t get enough! There seems to be a hint of some kind of spice, like cinnamon or nutmeg, something like that, but nope, not in the tea, I checked the ingredients! It is a fruit-based tea, no actual tea leaves in it. The flavors of all the exotic fruits just marry together in your tea pot yummmm :)
Coconut Oolong was the first teas of the collection that I tried, and it was a great first impression of what this collection has to offer. It’s the perfect mix of that regular oolong taste and coconut! The coconut flavor stands out, but doesn’t take over the tea or turn it bitter. YUM this tea really hit the spot and it’s the perfect morning tea and it also has medium caffeine, so that’s always good in the morning :)
This is a black tea with real dried blueberries in it! How awesome is that?
The smell of the dried tea smell exactly like blueberry jam. the creators of this tea certainly hit the nail on the head with this one.
This tea kind of reminds me of mass produced (by many companies) blueberry tea. However, this one is slightly more fruity. The blueberry taste is more prominent and it tastes more like REAL blueberries and not that artificial flavor that our society as identified with the blueberry fruit.
’m not the perfect connoisseur for this tea, but I’ll do my best. I have never tasted rum (or buttered rum for that matter) but I have heard from reliable sources that this tea does indeed taste like rum. It is also the exact color of dark rum.
It is a very interesting tea, in the sense that there is coconut, yet no coconut taste? Nope, I don’t know where this coconut went.
Overall the tea is kind of bitter. I bought 50g of this tea several months ago, and there is still quite a bit left! I’ve become a bit bored of this of this tea, and I still have quite a bit left.
For all you iced tea lovers, I would imagine this would be good iced.
