This is a high quality, smooth and delightful green tea. Overall, it is a mild tropical flavor but this is not a one-note flavor. No single flavor predominates but each of the added flavors come together in a light manner… A highly enjoyable tea that will be perfect when the weather warms……

I like this tea. I would describe it as a mellow chai, not lots of cinnamon and not lots of cardamon flavor but really nice. I only purchased a sample of this but I think I would be willing to purchase a tin.

This is still not my “perfect chocolate” tea – maybe Florence will be the one?

Bought this on sale at California Tea House.

This tea was delicious, toasty, warm, w/lots of cinnamon. Only downside: as our temperatures heat up around here in June, I may want something lighter (but don’t hold that against the tea!)

It is what I would imagine a New England Christmas would be like- snowy, woodsy, cabin, fireplace, thick socks…(Here in Louisiana we are lucky if temperatures dip below 70F)…

Please don’t mistake this for a chai. It is something different. As this is my first holiday tea, I can’t compare it to others. But I hope to try more….

Lori, Maybe you’d like it iced? :)

I wanted tried this one more time before giving this tea away! And I still don’t like it. It is very astringent and too strong of a hazalnut flavor. Maybe in the morning w/milk and sugar it would have been tolerable?

This is a lovely tea. It is light in color but has a full-bodied taste. But not too strong either – this is certainly no Breakfast Blend. There is no bitter tannins at all so milk is not needed. This was included in Upton Tea’s Premium Darjeeling sampler and I would definitely recommend this as a way to compare 1st flush and 2nd flush darjeelings. Of the teas included in the sampler, this was the best…

Had this tea this AM w/a little bit of milk and lots of sugar. This is the perfect way to start the day w/ a bold and assertive flavor and the brewing times aren’t too picky…. The tea tastes slightly spicy and slightly earthy…..It really is becoming my favorites and it is a bagged tea!

I guess I am going to have to cave and make an order for this. Between you and Cofftea’s reviews I am now quite intrigued. :)

Lori

It is very good and Whole Foods sells it (so it is easy to get)…

Cofftea

SoccerMom, you should! Get the loose so I can read how it is:)

SoccerMom

Cofftea, I am writing it on my tea list that I keep on my desk beside me. I’ve already made my March tea order but I will definitely place an order in April. Since you have pushing this tea on my like a pusher! LOL j/k I like “bold and assertive” so this review helped seal the deal!

Cofftea

Hehe yep- this, mandarin matcha, and Mayan Chocolate Chai!

This really is like a low cal dessert in a cup w/a sinful banana flavor and no need to add sugar…It was perfect for my mid-afternoon treat…Come to think of it , this would be great w/chocolate milk….

Janefan

ohh, chocolate milk is a good idea! My one complaint on this one is that the chocolate doensn’t have quite as much presence as I would like.

Lori

I agree it needs more chocolate flavor..but other than that, this is a fun tea w/no caffiene…

I am new to tea soooo I wasn’t sure what to expect. This is a VERY MILD tea. No astringency and no vegetal flavor. A very light, light flavor but smooth. Personally, I prefer a bolder tea but for someone who likes light tea this would be a good option.

Just a few months ago the only tea I drank was hot lipton tea at work, an occasional mint tea, and sweet iced tea.. Then my daughter got me some loose leaf teas for Christmas and then, my tea addiction began…..

And what better way to get lots of dessert flavors w/o the calories?

I prefer my tea with a tinge of sugar. Is that cheating? But to me , the combination of sugar and tea is like salt and cooking- both bring out the natural flavors.

My tea drinking has evolved into a set routine: a breakfast blend in the AM, some flavored blacks during the day, late afternoon or evening flavored green/white, herbal (usually spicy, chai inspired) at night.

Not into unflavored greens/whites yet. Just started appreciating unflavored blacks and am thinking that smoky teas may become my favorite…
When I am not drinking tea, I am working as an engineer, reading, watching some of the better TV shows (like Damages and Breaking Bad), practicing my yoga, cooking, gardening, and spoiling my two miniature poodles (Coco and Timmy)…
