1473 Tasting Notes
This is a good peachy black tea I picked up the morning of my little brother’s wedding . Unfortunately, that means it a few years old now. But still going strong, the ratio of juicy peach to decent black tea just perfect, neither lost to the other.
For a cheap tea in a thin plastic container bought years ago, this is damn tasty.
Preparation
I’ve been going through a fair number of sipdowns, so I decided to reward myself with my new favorite tea. When my wife found out this tea was 50% off, they insisted on buying me 150 g worth. :D Best wife!
Still yummy and apple-cider-juicy and perfect.
Preparation
I’m craving coffee super hard this morning, but I’m trying to kick the habit again, so I reached for this tea instead with a little bit of soy milk. It reminds me of a coffee crisp, a strong coffee flavor with a bit of chocolate. I love this tea and I’m nearly out…this is sad news! Although it does give me an excuse to put together another Tealish order XD.
Sipdown! And I’m so sad about it. I have adored this tea since the second it came out. I love the fruity mango and the chili burn…yum. Saving the leaves for a second steep before I say goodbye. If anyone out there knows of a tea like this one, please let me know!
Preparation
Gurman’s has a tea called Pepper Mango. It has a green base. I think you can find it from other companies. They will ship to the US, but I always have Superanna pick it up in Dublin. Not sure where you are located. Canada?
Yup, I’m in Toronto trying not to buy out of country because that exchange rate is ridiculous XD. I will definitely look into that though!
Superanna is my daughter and she travels all the time. She already has a fistful of money from my friend and a list from me to hit Gurman’s when she is in Ireland in a few weeks! The great thing is that she always buys me tea when she travels and she is so sweet and generous to me, but then I find so many teas that I love that are ALL OVER THE PLACE and OY THE SHIPPING when I want more! Right now I am craving Fairmont Maple from Canada and Dark Chocolate Rose Obsession from Marie Belle in New York. She is picking up Magic from Dublin for me. :)))
Oh, oh, oh! I just read your bio all the way through! You have a red foot tortoise! One of my friends had one named Mort the Tort when I was a teenager. He just roamed their house. We have a small habitat in our backyard for Eastern and Western (three-toed) box turtles that were formerly people’s pets and they either wanted to get of them, or they moved or weren’t successful at keeping them healthy. We have had some of them for twenty years, a mother and daughter pair. The daughter was actually hatched on our kitchen counter because the man who owned the mother didn’t know how to care for them properly and when the mother laid eggs he let them dessicate and tear. We took the remaining viable eggs and put it in dirt with a hygrometer and hatched the babies.
RIVERTEAS I MISS YOUUUUU.
We moved all of our RiverTeas into the sipdown pile because there’s no sense hoarding them until they go stale. Even if we get sad every time we have a cup. Such a great company.
Anyway, when making lunch (buffalo cauliflower wraps) I made this tea over ice. Seems appropriate, right? It’s so tasty and fruity and reminds me of a good peach tea from back home (Tennessee) with added mango. I love it. It won’t be hard at all to finish off the leaf we have left, but oh man am I going to be sad when it’s gone.
