This one puzzles me a bit. I think I can sense some good flavor, but it seems quite thin. I can still taste the water through the tea, which is unusual for an earl grey. I tried steeping longer, and that added more body, but not really more flavor.

I liked this a bit better this time than last time. Still just a standard English breakfast. Maybe I brewed it a bit more because I remember it being a bit thin, and it’s fairly robust this time. Perhaps forgetting about it was a good thing this morning!

Taylor’s make my favourite bagged teas I can get over here in the UK. I might be biased though, because my cousin works for them. (:

A basic english breakfast. It’s serviceable but a bit thin and nothing special.

Enjoyable, pretty standard, but overall a pleasing cup of tea.

I picked up a few of these bags randomly while in Ireland last fall. I wish I picked up more. An enjoyable strong breakfast tea. I really needed it this morning and it really hit the spot.

One of my favorite breakfast teas. Nothing stands out, nothing is out of balance.

I really enjoy this tea. With the bergamot it starts hinting at an earl grey, but with all the best breakfast tea qualities too. It’s really well balanced for my sensibilities of what I would like first thing in the morning as I wake up.

This is ok for a basic earl grey. I always think I should like it better than I do.

Most Enjoys:
A strong black tea, preferably from Sri Lanka or India. I tend to steep it a little over to get just a touch of bitterness, which I enjoy.

My Ratings:
100-90: One of my favorites, a tea that stopped me from doing whatever I was doing, to just enjoy its flavor.
89-80: I would buy again, I enjoy, but one that I can have while rushing around or reading or internet browsing – my standard breakfast teas probably fall in this range. I very much enjoy them.
79-70: An good tea. It’s pleasing in some way and I may buy it again but I wouldn’t go out of my way to make sure I have it in stock.
69-60: A tea I enjoyed, but nothing really stood out to me.
59-50: Better than average, but nothing that delighted or pleased me. It was fine.
49-1: Varying degrees of I didn’t enjoy this tea. The lower the rating goes, the more there was at least one element that I actively did not like.
