889 Tasting Notes
I think Shmiracles sent me this one a loong loooong time ago. It smells heavenly! The flavor is amazing. It has that nice buttery oolong flavor tied with toasty coconut. The flavor is so rich it reminds me of some type of cookie or dessert. It’s super creamy and smooth. I really, really like this one! Thank you!
The only reason I bought this tea was because it was 15% off and I REALLY wanted\needed one of their chocolate teas. This one is decent. It’s creamy, has that nice milk chocolate flavor, creamy vanilla flavor, and a nice woodsy note from the rooibos. It’s an interesting mixture of flavors (especially what the rooibos contributes) but it’s growing on me :)
I cut back the time for this one and it’s so good. It has a really strong dried apple ring flavor. The mouth feel of this tea is kind of dry but I think that’s what gives it that apple ring feel to it. I like this tea a lot more now that I discovered a better steeping time.
Preparation
Another sample I picked from the tea box. It’s a lovely white tea. Sweet with light, floral\fruit flavors. There is a sweet honey note in the aftertaste. The texture is smooth and silky. I really like this bai mu dan. I find it more flavorful and sweet than the other ones I’ve tried.
I snagged this one out of the Traveling Teabox a while ago. I have so much tea that I’m doing $10 packages again if anyone is interested. My goal right now is to get through all of my samples.
This one is ok. It is mostly earthy mate that I’m getting. There is a touch of lime but it’s really, really light and in the aftertaste. Which is slightly disappointing. I like this tea but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to order it.
EDIT: As it cools down you can taste the lime a bit more. This might be one that needs to be iced.
