162 Tasting Notes
Started to crave a cup of this when I saw it was the Steepster Select and so I made a cup as soon as I got home from work. This is such a wonderful tea! The Pouchong and coconut blend so well together, neither one overpowering the other. They just dance together in perfect harmony.
Preparation
Was in the mood for something light without caffeine since I am starting to wind down for the evening. This has a lovely soft sweet taste and is very relaxing. I remembered however that last time I drank this I had a little bit of an allergic reaction because it is part of the plant family that includes ragweed. And guess what? I’m allergic to ragweed. Wonderful. Why can’t I remember things like this before I actually consume the drink? Oh well. I enjoyed the taste and shall keep my fingers crossed that my body won’t react too unkindly to this yummy plant.
Preparation
I love cinnamon and this tea seems to have the perfect amount in it. Wonderful for drinking during the winter months but would be equal as wonderful drinking this any time of the year when a sweet cinnamon treat is wanted. Yummy!
Preparation
I am not typically a fan of Assam teas but a friend brought me a few bags to try and I don’t think it is too bad. Got some body to it but it isn’t knock me over strong. Only steeped it for 3 minutes, like I do with most black teas, and I am sure it would be a lot stronger if I let it steep longer. I don’t think I would drink this all the time, but I just might add this to my work tea collection since it is not bad for a bagged tea.
Preparation
It is cold in my classroom. Is working heat too much to ask for?!
I have this on my tea table next to me and have been drinking it all morning trying to warm up. This is the 1st Earl Grey I have liked so I can’t really compare it to any others. I will say that the addition of lavender seems to really balance out the overpowering nature of the bergamont and perhaps that is why I like it.
Preparation
Had afternoon tea this past weekend at a local tearoom and was served this tea. I immediately purchased some because it is one of the best flavored teas I have ever had.
Black tea base with rooibos, almonds, and hazelnut. I’m sure there is some flavoring involved but there are actual almond slices and hazelnut pieces throughout the leaves. It is incredibly warm and comforting. A perfect fall tea that is very flavorful and not bitter. Steep time of 4 minutes makes a wonderful cup. Just wish I could order this online instead of driving downtown. I’m lazy like that.
