I’ve had a couple of cups of this, a first steep, then the second steep of someone else’s from my Steeper. Just delicious every time. Love the berries, and the mix is really nice. Its my first exposure to Saskatoon berries, and a great decision it seems!

The oolong base adds a lovely mix into the tea. It compliments the berries, but there’s still a disctinct oolong flavour there too.

I really like this one. Next stop, iced!

I had a sip of this one out of the other half’s cup at one point, and it was quite tasty. Today it was time to try my own.

Oh dear. The black base went bitter. I didn’t think I’d left it in for that long (though I didn’t time it). Added 2 teaspoons of sugar, can still taste the bitterness.

Oh bugger. Might have to tip this and try again later at home. No rating until I steep it correctly.

Ended up biting the bullet and got a 50g bag in my last order. A very weird day today, so this seemed like the perfect night time post workout tea. And it was! Very tasty, and my bag seems to have more lavender in it than the sample tin from the advent calendar! Hmmm….. Taking away all the craziness from my Monday. Thank you, Jessie Farrell!

So even though I really enjoy white blends, I haven’t had any straight whites. So why not start with RHTB, given their excellent quality?

Scent: surprisingly vegetal. Haven’t smelled that before with whites. Hmm interesting!

Taste: still getting the grassiness in the first taste, but the taste of the back of the mouth is quite sweet. Further sips are intriguing, very tasty! Definitely coming back for more of this.

I hope the white tea/immunity thing is true though, have a little bit of a cough this morning. Hopefully it’s just me warming up after a cool night.

I got a sample of this in an order a couple of months ago, and thought today, with the roofers in a work, replacing the roof, and a forest worth of printing for the Board for my work to do, that shortcake was the way to go (the low-cal form of course).

The smell, dry and wet, its quite strong, very strawberry cheese/shortcakey. The taste is nice, a nice creamy strawberryness. My timolino-ful is a bit bitter, but I think that may have been a last minute, rush out the door steeping error on my part.

So quite tasty, will steep the remainder and ice tonight with a smidge of agave to see how it goes cold.

This was one of my first DavidsTea teas. I had it in store, iced last summer quite a few times and enjoyed the berry flavours (but mostly the iced part, I have to admit – it was hot last August in Toronto!). Like others, I have found this one can be a bit tart, so I add agave/honey generously to bring out the berry sweetness.

I’ve tried it hot too, but it wasn’t as special hot. If you’re wondering what its like hot and want to try, don’t bother!

I do like this, and will order a bit more later in the year for summer again. Its a good iced tea standard.

This was part of my order that arrived yesterday. I steeped this to have with breakfast, but was running late so I both ran out of time to drink it and make sure I was steeping it properly. I put it in mydouble walled aladdin plastic tumbler, but the chilly apparent 1oC outside cooled it right down by the time I got to work to room temperature.

First thoughts: smelled berry like, but I think it was the acaici that gives it a bit of tartness. Hot, I think I’d oversteeped it because my one mouthful tasted a bit bitter. Cold, the bitterness is gone and there’s a soft berry taste.

Going to give this a proper go later, and an icing and see what happens.

Had a bad weekend, medically, spent most of it on the couch under a blanket going through series 6&7 of one tree hill. This one was made for me by the other half when he got home from work.

Dry: you can smell all the flavours quite strongly, but the raspberry is the most prominent. Very genuine scents too, clearly no additional flavours here.

Steeped: wow. In case your weren’t sure, there are raspberries in this tea! But not just any raspberries, freshly picked raspberries, with that strong, sweet smell. Holey moley.

Taste: more raspberries! Also getting the sweet. Creaminess of the chocolate and coconut is definitely there too, and there is a hint of the white tea base. The aftertaste has a punch of the fresh raspberries I can smell. Wow. This is a wonderful tea! A great pick for yesterday afternoon, definitely changed my mood!
