Blegh – I’m not against lavender in teas/tisanes, but this tastes stale or otherwise “off” somehow. I think I’d prefer straight chamomile, sadly.

liking it better today. Yes, the flavor is light, but it’s there. Going to try it iced next, I swear!

not bad iced – more tropical notes come out. Best when it warms a bit closer to room temp than straight out of the fridge though.

more melony than pumpkiny, but does have sweet and creamy undertones. Can take a bit of milk and sugar, but I prefer to use have the amount of milk/sugar as I would in, say, a breakfast tea. Steeped 9 min (suggested 8-10).

Preparation
Boiling 8 min or more

Added a bit of almond milk and it didn’t curdle! Ok, but not great. I think this is a love/hate tea and if I drink it too much I may start to dislike it violently. Something about it is weird… maybe it’s the cinnamon/almond/orange combo is just not quite right. It could be a great tea, but the execution just doesn’t live up to the concept…

Agreeing with the weirdness here. I could be so much better, and I’m not sure why it isn’t! Dimensions are missing, I think. It tastes flat.

Janefan

yeah, I know. If I just drink it without paying too much attention to it, I can enjoy it. But once I start analyzing it too much, it gets weird. Thanks for sharing this interesting tea with me though.

Actually, I added a bit of RoT’s vanilla honey, and a splash of almond milk. Desperately need caffeine to make it through the first monday morning of DST!

The “spring forward” is BRUTAL on my system!!!!!! Everyone is happy to have more daylight, but I feel like I’ve been hit by a bus! I love “fall back” and gaining the extra hour :) :) :)

SoccerMom

I’m a “fall back” girl too! :) I had to make an extra cup of mate this morning to kick start my system too.

good with a splash of almond milk – the nutiness complements the banana. Again, the chocolate is just a hint, but that’s ok with me.

added a bit of sugar and almond milk. It’s ok, but I think the thicker and more neutral dairy milk is better for bringing out the depth and richness of this particular blend…

(arrived today from teaplz – this is my first TG tea!) Lovely orange and marzipan (almond + sugar) scent. Do I detect a hint of mint too? The leaves unfurl and are quite varied — some are almost whole. The liquor is a surprisingly bright yellow-green. Orange and almond pastry-like (buttery?) flavor is strong on first couple sips, but then seems to give way to just a slightly citrus bitterness. The tea itself isn’t bitter – just the orange is a bit. I’m also getting a strong hint of cinnamon – more the warmth than the flavor (which is fine by me).

I think I like it. I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to buy it, and I doubt I could drink it every day… but I like the combo of light, wholesome green tea with a sweet, citrusy dessert-like flavor. A dessert tea that one need not add milk and sugar to is a nice change for me. However, I am tempted to put some almond milk in my next cup – it just seems like it would enhance the flavor profile. And since it’s not dairy, the orange peel won’t cause it to curdle. hmm…. this rating may go up and I drink and experiment more.
