PSA*** the international version of this tea is NOT the same as the UK version. I will rate based on the UK version.

An excellent, strong, rich, full-bodied tea. There’s a reason it has become the UK’s most popular tea. There are many UK sites that sell it. You don’t need to steep this for very long to get a truly excellent cup of tea. I would definitely take this tea with milk.

NB The version sold in Australia (and likely elsewhere) is packed in the UAE from an entirely different blend of black teas. The company is quite transparent about this – they’ve claimed “regional tastes” and also environmental issues re transporting African tea to the UK then to Australia. Whatever the reason, it sadly results in an inferior and much weaker tea than the original.

I had no idea the UK version was different! I’m always surprised when international tea people aren’t a fan… that makes so much sense!!

I can’t tell you how disappointed I was! I’ve since ordered the proper stuff from the UK but the shipping is so slow.

This always seems like it should be a full-on pure green tea, from the name, but it’s a total strawberry pudding. With milk it’s a bit like a strawberry blancmange, it’s also great with honey/sugar or just plain. If you’re green tea averse or find green teas bitter, give this a go.

Brilliant chai: warm, rich, sweet flavours. Great with honey or milk, or even by itself given the sweetness from the dates.

Superb! Very sweet and pancakey, with a hit of cinnamon, and I can drink this one black without milk or honey/sugar, as it’s really mellow and smooth. This was the standout for me in the Advent Calendar a couple of years ago, and I went on to buy a whole box of it (the teabags). Highly recommended.

This is a mega-popcorny genmaicha with coconut notes, and one of the few green teas I can drink without milk and unsweetened. I particularly enjoy this when fasting.

I love this: it’s more of a chai than a tea, though the flavour may vary slightly between boxes. The sample I had in the Advent calendar was much more nutmeggy than the boxes I later bought. The nutmeg was a really welcome and unusual flavour so I would love it to be stronger. Definitely one to grab when it comes around again at Christmas.

Amazing chai. I’ve had it in the Advent Calendar a couple of times, and for people that find other chais too heavy/clovey, give this one a try. It’s much more gentle but also an exciting combination of flavours.

This is not really my sort of tea: it’s too much of a tangy hibiscus flavour. It is a beautiful colour. T2 often have it blended with another tea as a tasting sample, and that tends to be better (eg Turkish Cherry). It is a beautiful colour. For people who like hibiscus, this will be a great choice. Cold and sweetened would probably work well.
