505 Tasting Notes
Honey vanilla flavored black tea.
silky creamy mouthfeel
This is reliable black tea for me. It tastes good every time. Really only good for one steep. Lingering creamy honey at end.
I need to restock this tea.
Flavors: Creamy, Honey, Vanilla
Preparation
When I follow temp/steeping guidlines this tea is so much better. Strong jasmine scent in dry leaves. I don’t get strong jasmine flavor from this tea. I thought it was a black tea, but it’s a green tea instead. Which makes my review make more sense. I think I may have cooked the leaves the first time.
Smooth with jasmine flavor at the end. I got more jasmine flavor with cooler water. I can and will enjoy drinking the rest, but I won’t be buying more of this blend.
Steep 2 tsp at 190 F for 2 min in 15 oz

Backlog
I used the last of this sample packet. It previously opened I don’t know how long. Earl Grey’s are hit and miss for me. I love how bergamot smells but often don’t like the taste. This one is fine, but I don’t taste much of bergamot for anything else really. Wet leaves smell of bergamot. I don’t think this is the tea for me.
Flavors: Bergamot
I haven’t liked this tea previously. Trying to steep it shorter and with hotter water just left me with an upset stomach. I poured out the rest of my mug. I don’t get any orange flavour at all. And I love citrus teas.
Unfortunately when I last ordered, I bought more….oops. I have a sealed 1oz/29g package I’d be willing to trade. I’d like someone to like it.
Flavors: Bitter
I’ve had this tea for a while. I might have brewed it a smidge too hot the first steep. The flavor wasn’t there. It did get slightly better once it cooled down and on the 2nd and 3rd steeps with cooler water. Buttery with slight floral at end. I had a much better oolong last night. This definitely suffers in comparison.
Flavors: Butter, Floral
