drank Paris by Harney & Sons
2252 tasting notes

Well, poop. If I have ever tried Paris, it’s been so long ago I don’t remember. Brought a sample sachet to work, didn’t pay attention, and probably pulled it a minute too soon. As a result, I got a cup of “maybe this is how it tastes; maybe not.” Getting the bergamot; getting the caramel a little.

On the other hand, it does remind me a lot of H&S Indian Nimbu, which I have enjoyed immensely in the past. Nimbu has a darjeeling base instead of black tea and makes the sweet added flavors shine.

Somebody asked me once when I became a tea junkie; I think it dates back to college when I needed caffeine for a 7 a.m. class but chose not to do coffee. My favorite teapot is a medium-sized Brown Betty given to me by my Mema; the painted flowers are chipping off, but the size and feel is perfect. I rejoice when I get a morning to brew a pot of loose tea starting with a kettle; not a bag and a hot pot.
