drank Autumn Tea by Basilur

Most Basilur black teas I’ve tried need a longer steep, but this one is just a trifle touchy. The base went a little bitter when I let it go five minutes. Even so, it smells like buckwheat pancakes with syrup and the maple scent-sation stays in your mouth after you swallow.

Can’t wait to find the sweet timing spot. When I do, this will be excellent.

My wife got me a tin of a variety last Christmas. I don’t do a lot of flavored teas, but enjoyed it. This one sounds good too.

I think my favorite Basilur to date is a tangerine black tea with a little vanilla in it. They do fruity stuff very well.

Somebody asked me once when I became a tea junkie; I think it dates back to college when I needed caffeine for a 7 a.m. class but chose not to do coffee. My favorite teapot is a medium-sized Brown Betty given to me by my Mema; the painted flowers are chipping off, but the size and feel is perfect. I rejoice when I get a morning to brew a pot of loose tea starting with a kettle; not a bag and a hot pot.
