First run with our fresh chocolate mint leaves from our back porch container. Very very light flavor out of these small leaves; if you scrunch up your face and concentrate, you get the chocolate. Next cup, I will toss in some cacao nibs. That ought to make a squinch-free cup.

It just sort of hints and chocolate to me as well, but it is a nice soft mint that goes great with puerh.
I just bought a chocolate mint plant and am looking forward to brewing up some leaves this summer. : )
Hubby caved and got us a pineapple mint, so we’ve got the full spectrum in our little container garden now. Will have to hone my drying/preserving technique now.

That’s great – it sounds like you have a nice selection of mints now! I’ve smelled pineapple mint and it was lovely. I also have one regular mint plant that I got last year but am waiting to see if it survived the winter.
