Teabrat sweetly sent this succulent sample to savor (OK, enough alliteration) and it was (well, maybe just one more) superb.

I carefully stuck to low temp and short time and in return, got a sensory road trip down memory lane: I was responsible for helping pick and pit the cherries from my favorite reading tree. (What? You didn’t climb up to the first V-branch with a book you’d memorized because you’d read it so many times you could recite it?) Anyway, this tea tastes like what those fresh pitted cherries smelled like. Cherry perfection.

There have been some long, impassioned Steepster conversations about the lack of really good cherry teas that don’t taste like cough drops.

yeah I have noticed that myself…

Somebody asked me once when I became a tea junkie; I think it dates back to college when I needed caffeine for a 7 a.m. class but chose not to do coffee. My favorite teapot is a medium-sized Brown Betty given to me by my Mema; the painted flowers are chipping off, but the size and feel is perfect. I rejoice when I get a morning to brew a pot of loose tea starting with a kettle; not a bag and a hot pot.
