Supporting Black-Owned Businesses - Tea Companies
I came across a thread on Reddit that gives a list of Black-owned tea companies. Almost all of these are new to me so I thought I’d share. Please add others in the comments if I’ve left someone out!
This is a long list, but I’ve done my best to try to determine which companies ship to the US, Canada, and the UK. If there’s a country I’m missing that is represented here on Steepster, post below! There’s a good chance I’ve made some errors, so please let me know if I’ve got one wrong when you try to place an order. Thanks!

Also, I’m going through each company on the list and I’m not sure that Oriarm is a Black-owned business. When I go to website I can’t find anything about the owners and the company itself asked to be added to the Reddit feed so it wasn’t a suggestion from another user. I’ll remove it for now, but if I find more info suggesting it needs to be on the list I’ll add it back.
EDIT – And good idea adding the countries. I’ll go back and do that for the rest. Or maybe put who they’ll ship to.

I hope I got them right! I plugged in a UK address in the shipping section to see if it would work so who knows if that actually worked. :) VariaTEA and Roswell Strange found so many of these on Instagram!

I love the artwork of the women having tea too. And did you see they have a superstitions page? That’s so fun!
@Shae, I included only the companies with Canadian addresses, so shipping shouldn’t be a problem. I wish I’d heard of Bee’s Soulteez when I was looking for teas without caffeine earlier this year! It’s hard to find a decaf chai blend without licorice, and it looks like they have one.
