Your Favorite Teas!
This is a catch-all topic to list off your favorite teas, and reasons why! I’m really curious to see what everyone loves. As I’m just starting out with my tea journey, I really don’t have “favorites” yet. Which is why I’d love to see what you guys give the highest recommendation in each of these categories!

Favorite types of tea in general. I love peach teas. Favorite black tea teagschwender pineapple mango black. Herbal anything with mint or chamomile. White tea, silverneedle or rishi moonlight white. Green tea tropical tea minus coconut. I also like mango teas, chocolate teas, and carmel teas.
I had lipton’s peach herbal once just to get rid of it. HORRIBLE! It tasted like liquid jello.
Liquid jello is good. It made me think of my grandma (in Heaven 5 years tomorrow), but not for a tea. But then again I don ’t drink herbals alone.
All-Time Favorite Tea: Black Pearl Oolong. It’s pretty rare, I’ve only seen it at one small tea store. It’s aged for fifteen years, and the liquor is just… unbelievable. I haven’t had any in a while, but maybe I’ll pick some up when I go home. Definitely a tea to give your full attention to.
Favorite Black: Teas from Yunnan. Indian and Ceylon teas are nice, yes, but, for me, Yunnan has the best flavor.
Favorite Oolong: Discounting the black pearl, I’d have to say high elevation Dong Ding and Ali-Shan oolongs. I tend to favor Taiwanese oolongs to Chinese.
Favorite Green: Either the competition grade Bi Lou Chun I have in my cupboard now, or Dragonwell – but only when drunken fresh from lungjing village, while in China XD. It’s just not the same in the states…
Favorite White: Oddly enough, a tea from Darjeeling. Lupicia, at one time, was selling a tea called, I think, Darjeeling Arya. It was a surprisingly good white tea, and definitely preferable to White Peony in my tastes.
Favorite Herbal: Rooibos. Hot, iced, room temp… it’s always good. Refreshing, and not tempermental in the least.
Favorite Tea Company: As for major chains… Puripan. But that might just be the experience I’ve had in the store in San Jose. Love the people that work(ed) there, and they give a lot more attention to purity and quality of tea. Also, they were my first real experience with the world of Korean tea.
Favorite Tea Accessory (Pot, Kettle, Infuser, etc.): Gaiwan. Simple, versatile, pretty… Love ’em.

Favorite Black: Super Irish Breakfast (Stash)
Favorite Oolong: Unknown Chinese bulk brand from a local health food store
