Looking for a good electric kettle

I’m sorry, but I don’t offhand know any place that sells them online, they seem to be sold in so many stores whenever I go to buy tea in Flushing NY that I’ve never had to look online. $40 though, is about the price I paid for the last one I bought.

I bought this Oster variable temp kettle (http://www.amazon.ca/Oster%C2%AE-Litre-Kettle-Variable-Stainless-Steel/dp/B0048BPWQE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1336079080&sr=8-1) about 6 months ago or so.
It is listed as $69.99 on amazon.ca but I got in on sale at Canadian Tire for $30 or 40.

I really like the variable temp setting, it is in 5degree increments. My green and white teas taste sooooooo much better now that I use the proper temp to steep them.

any updated on this thread? I am looking for something with:

1.no plastic in contact with the water.
2.small size, under 0.5-1 liter.
3.some kind of indication regarding temperature.

You can get them at a lot of different stores and online. Only around 30 bucks, depending where you get it. The only downfall is you can’t boil to a certain temp.

In order to find a kettle that will last it’s better to learn about them first. Check out this page for some good info and recommendations.
