Man Teas

You guys are great! Thanks for all of the great ideas. Makes me think maybe I’m not as crazy as I sometimes think.

Welcome to the funny farm! :P

Peaty scotch and cigar!

Although I did read somewhere that the scientists determined that the scent men most responded to was cinnamon rolls of all things! Maybe the men are responding to the maple end of the maple bacon too!

Ok that made me think of something, but I think that’d be over the line so I think I’ll keep it to myself because I don’t want to get in trouble lol.

I can not imagine!! I’m still trying to get through the back-stash of 52Teas I already have. I loved the pepper Chai whatever it was called – but reading through all these suggestions, I’m beginning to think I’m a complete wuss where it comes to teas. I apparently like my girly teas just fine. Can’t imagine burning rubber tea. The dry wines tea might be cute.

Which reminds me, the reason I’m falling asleep is probably because I need to go brew up a cuppa. Whatever shall I make??

That’s an easy one. Mandarin matcha:)

@cofftea LOL that made me laugh! i love it!!

Oh and I was curious if the other vegans and vegetarians on board had tried MimicCreme – a no-soy, nut-based cream substitute. We have the unsweetened (like for cooking) and the sweetened (which is good with coffee and tea, but sometimes I just drink the unsweetened and then add stevia for sweetener.). Pretty good if you like that sort of thing in your tea. Some would argue that tea shouldn’t ever have cream in it, and as a British co-worker once told my husband, those who drink tea WITHOUT cream in it are “Barbarians!”. Who knows? If I’m a hick, so be it. I figure the world is big enough to accommodate the tea with cream drinkers and the tea without cream purists. Who can resist some of 52Teas Chai Tea Latte? wouldn’t be the same without a touch of that cream or dairy whatever it is he uses!!!

Where do you live? I have just a few vegan choices here in Memphis: Silk Creamer, Soyatoo Soya Topping Cream, coconut milk, or making my own. So you clearly live in some vegan paradise far from Memphis?

Okay, so I just wanted to update everyone. Zoomdweebie’s (parent of 52teas) has started a new project. Check it out: http://www.manteas.com More content (and teas) coming SOON!

I LOVE IT! P.S. Did you see the comment on the bacon tea about a ceasar salad tea blend?

I must have missed the Caesar Salad comment, but that would TOTALLY not be a man tea. :)

Cofftea said

I disagree- eggs and anchovies?

Just posted a new blend: Coffee Tea.

You may have finally found a way to get me to drink rooibos! My favorite coffee “flavored” tea is a roasted oolong w/ no added coffee flavors. It’s amazing. Could you do something like that?

Cofftea said

Here’s the caesar salad comment: “I think I’ll wait until this one is combined in a four-pack with Green Lettuce tea, Oolong Poached Egg and Kenyan Krouton in the Caesar Salad pack” -don’t forget the garlic and anchovies:)

LOL. I’m having a bit of fun with this site. Just posted the Mayan Chocolate Chai. Need to add the maple bacon.

Love the new website!

The name of the website is quite hilarious to me, considering that I call tighty whities “manties” (aka man panties).

Cofftea said

ABSOLUTELY LOVE That you can buy in bulk on manteas.com! You should put your organic steve-ia leaf on this site too!:)

Are you thinking you want to buy Stevia in bulk? Just curious since I’ve found a little bit of that stuff goes a LONG way.

Cofftea said

No, I just couldn’t resist making the Steve joke:) I was serious about you putting it on the site, although a 2oz package is fine. Love that you can buy other teas in bulk though.

Cofftea said

What’s the reasoning for charging for shipping thru manteas, but not 52teas?

I’m afraid that is the trade-off for the bulk purchases. Have to make sure we cover our tails. The free shipping on 52teas is a perk, but it might not stay that way if they keep raising our postage rates.
