I made it through another week at work. It was stressful and exhausting. I said
a lot of things I probably shouldn’t have. All in all, it really was an ok week given the circumstances. Today is a day of continued spring cleaning. I’m melting my brain with Spongebob in the background because I do what I want.

In the process of sipdowns, this has been my daily driver for the work week. This Yunnan yellow tea basically has little life left with 3 years of age. It’s now very mildly fruity and sweet with subdued umami. Is it oxidation that has brought out more of the mellow malty and chocolate tones? A butter-cream flavor and thickness has developed on the swallow. Other than the swallow, the body is much lighter than it used to be and the astringency has nearly disappeared. The minty cooling effect is still prominent and felt throughout my whole body, especially the underboob :) Sustained caffeination. The dry and wet leaf and bud sets are a beautiful sight.

Do yourself a favor and consume quickly your yellow teas. I can’t emphasize how mild this is compared to when I first opened the bag.

Flavors: Banana, Bitter, Butter, Butterscotch, Cocoa, Cream, Dry Grass, Fruity, Malt, Mango, Metallic, Tropical, Wheat

I ALMOST heard the Spongebob song yesterday but flipped the channel real quick. I didn’t want that earworm. :D I have recently learned the lesson that the yellow teas must be sipped down very quickly. Definitely a fresher the better tea. Stay safe!

The theme song is still running through my head!

The theme song is great! I saw few minutes of Spongebob yesterday and it was clearly something I needed. Unfortunately, other family members thought otherwise.

We’ve been bingeing MeTV episodes — they run the Monkees on Sunday afternoons! (Talk about an earworm…. Here we come…. walking down the street …)

I’m glad I"m not the only adult who still has an affinity for Spongebob :-)

Tea habits:

Among my favorites are all teas Nepali, sheng puerh, Wuyi yancha, Taiwanese oolong, a variety of black (red) teas from all over, herbal tisanes. I keep a few green and white teas on hand. Shou puerh is a cold weather brew. Tiny teapots and gaiwans are my usual brewing vessels when not preparing morning cups western style and pouring into my work thermos. Friend of teabags.
