15 Tasting Notes
I love this tea.
In the afternoon when I need something to get me through my cubicle office job or to get me through three hour classes, this tea is it. This is perfect for those days when I want something light and sweet (without needing to add sugar). The raspberry taste is easy to detect, but not so strong that you can’t appreciate the taste of the white tea itself.
Overall delightful tea that I will always enjoy!
This one is my favourite tea from DavidsTea (unless they make something that tops it one day!).
No need for sugar or milk. Actually has enough chocolate-y taste to substitute for a “real” dessert. Nice sweet and light green rooibos taste.
The best part for me is that every time I steep this (about 4-5min), I ALWAYS re-steep and it still produces enough taste to make a satisfyingly flavourful cup!
I got this in my online shipment as a sample and am I ever glad that I did!
The sample was enough for four people and everybody took a sip and made the “hmm” sound which was a mix of “mmm” and “????”
They all loved it.
It’s an intriguing mix of lemongrass and coconut and it smells amazing. It took me the whole dinner time to realize that it reminded me of thai curry, which didn’t bother me but effectively intrigued me even more.
I don’t add sugar or milk or anything else extra to it. Every time I brew a perfect cup (at least to my tastes) and am very happy with it.
Try it when you need some downtime in the afternoon or something to relax you as soon as you get home from work or school!
I love this tea so much. It was the first 100g of tea I ever bought from DavidsTea. This one and Midsummer Night’s Dream are my two absolute favorite teas ever. You should definitely try Exotica iced! Amazing!
I saw this when it was first being introduced in stores (I checked online and saw no description of it) and bought it without even thinking because 1. I LOVE amaretto and 2. it smelled absolutely captivating.
I tried it as soon as I got home, following all the steeping instructions. The tea came out very weak and barely tasted like it smelled (you know what I mean?)
Anyway, because it smells so delicious in the bag, I’ve been steeping it every now and then when I feel like giving it another try.
I’ve tried steeping it with just hot milk. I’ve tried hot water, a bit of milk, and condensed milk. I’ve tried Just water. Tonight I tried hot water and a teaspoon of condensed milk.
Conclusion: 1.5 spoonfuls might not be enough OR I’m just not familiar with how lapacho bark should taste OR this tea just isn’t actually all that great.
Preparation
Every time I step into Starbucks or Second Cup, I tell myself to get something different than my usual… but by the time I get to the front of the line, “grande London Fog please” comes out of my mouth.
Because I consider these drinks “luxury spending” now, I am happy to have found Cream of Earl Grey as a simple replacement.
In the mornings, I make one cup following all the brewing instructions. I add a bit of milk, sometimes brown sugar or a spoonful of condensed milk depending on my mood, and voila, a perfectly satisfying taste of creamy earl grey goodness with enough caffeine to last me through the morning.
