To break in a brand new, pretty glass pitcher, I made more tea than ever before! I split making it into two batches, so I could resteep the tea in order to not use as much at once. It worked out well. I’ve got maybe 4 cups left..oops. It’s a nice light tea, sometimes the pomegranate isn’t very apparent, and sometimes it makes it taste a bit like cherry jello. It’s good though, but it might be even better with an addition of a splash of pomegranate juice!
Preparation
Just used the last of this tea up, it feels like an accomplishment!
Decided to go the iced tea route with this too. It didn’t get bitter despite the brew time, and I let it cool all the way down before drinking any.
I think I prefer it as a hot tea, but it is decent iced. It has a very clean taste. The blueberry is there, but it’s not a heavy flavor.
One thing that amused me though: In Paris I picked up what is essentially a tea ball with a rubber duck on top. I used him to brew this, and it looked like he was bleeding profusely in the water at first!
Preparation
I actually bought this more or less for my best friend. She likes citrus-y teas, and I…don’t, and therefore I never have anything to make for her. So I picked this up. I will never regret doing so, because in addition to being delicious (I’m probably going to make this iced sometime) and not overpoweringly orangey, it is an extremely effective cold medicine. The two times I’ve caught a cold since buying it, I’ve drunk like four pots of it a day and the colds have lasted maybe three days each. Who knew. In short: recommended.
Preparation
I think I should have steeped this for four minutes instead of three, but it came out really lovely and was absolutely perfect for the ridiculous summer we get in Georgia. I made it for my mom and best friend and we all agree that it would probably be really good iced.
Preparation
This is lovely! I’ve never had Golden Yunnan before, I was looking for a good black tea to help get me up in the morning and thought it looked interesting. I’m not very good at describing tastes in tea terms, so I’ll just say it tastes like velvet. Delicious, dark velvet. It’s kind of a better winding-down tea, so my hunt for morning black tea is still on, but I’ll definitely pick this up again.
