This tea has a light green tea flavor. Its too light for me but its really not a bad tea at all. I actually cut open the tea sachet and brewed this tea like a loose tea which it was after I cut open the bag. It has a slightly sweet taste and I think it taste better w/o the bag. Although this may just be in my head. I’m upping the rating a few points but this tea is just not to my tastes.
Preparation
This is a slightly sweet green tea. Its not overpowering or astringent, no bitterness. The green tea flavor is very mild. This is an ok tea for me, nothing special. I tried a second steep but it was too weak to drink. This was another T.J.Maxx tea that I found for 1.99 for 4 sachets of tea.
Preparation
Right now I’m craving this tea which means I will be at T.J.Maxx when it opens to buy whatever stock they still have on hand of this tea. This is really a smooth malty assam tea.
Its a loose leaf tea in a pyramid tea bag. I may open the bag next time and steep the normal way to see what happens.
Preparation
Its been a crazy day, 6 inches of rain and 16 hours w/o electricity. On top of that, I had no way to make any tea until now. I just can’t believe its been raining on the coast of Maine in Feb. On to the tea… This assam is very tasty and malty, I have had worse assams that were loose leaf. I’m thinking of going back and buying more of this tea tomorrow. Its a really nice smooth cup of tea with no bitterness.
Preparation
This tea is a T.J.Maxx special at 1.99 (4 sachets) and its actually a very good tea. Its a whole leaf tea in a sachet. Its 100 per cent Assam and the tea is very malty. It has a sweetness and a nice full body to it. I have had better Assams, but not in a tea sachet. Tried a second steep as it said on the box, but no luck there. Too weak.
Preparation
This is also offered in a “pearl” version, which I tried this week and am completely a fan. The jasmine fragrance isn’t overwhelming, it has an almost “rock candy” aroma in the cup. It begins with sweet, but it doesn’t deliver as strongly in the finish, which is why I enjoy it. A tea that my complicated palate can appreciate, and one that younger members of my family also enjoyed for it’s unique ‘sweet’.
Light and citrusy, with slight woodsy notes. Had this tea in a coffeehouse, which to me is always a mixed bag because they always give you the same temperature of water — HOT. I did a short steep since I wasn’t sure just how hot it was, but I’m pleased with the cup.
Preparation
I don’t know what I am always so hesitant to drink jasmine white tea, but as soon as it enters my mouth it’s heaven for the first half of the cup, after which the jasmine becomes too strong and begins to upset my stomach. I will try it a few more times before my final verdict.
Preparation
This was my first go-round with Two Leaves and a Bud, and I have to say I was slightly disappointed. All the reviews below are correct, and it has a fine flavor, but with a name like “Extremely Green Tea”, I was expecting Green Tea flavor that knocked me upside the head.
Earl Grey is not one of my favorite teas, but this one might change my mind. The bergamont is not overpowering, and is really more of a high note that allows the strong flavor of the black tea to come through. In a lot of Earl Greys, all you can taste is the bergamont.
Preparation
About a year ago, I decided that I was only going to buy clothes that I was obsessed with and couldn’t stop thinking about, so that eventually every morning that I got dressed would be an exciting event. I made this same type of decision last night about food and drink: to really, really WANT everything I eat or drink, from now on. Not only that, but to feel like it will only make me feel great afterward, rather than sluggish or regretful. It’s working so far!
