Bagged tea this morning as I have things to do. Going on a tea hunt today, I do this a couple times a month, you never know what you will find. Teavana, Williams-Sonoma, T.J. Maxx, Christmas Tree Shop, etc… I always have this tea in my cupboard. My parents used Twinings teas as it was the only quality tea they could find at the time. So bear in mind that I am very used to this tea and probably biased as well. It just feels like home when I drink this tea. I like the amounts of bergamot in it and it tastes like home.
Preparation
I often drink this at work because I don’t want to transport my loose leaf utilities everyday. This is one of the better bagged teas though. If you’re in a pinch, go for this or Stash’s black teas.
Preparation
Have you tried fillable paper filters? Just put a bunch in a bag or empty tea tin/box to make them easy to carry with you. That way you can have any kind of loose leaf tea you want at work. I love them:)
Tasted better before I added sugar, next time I will have plain which is nice and easy! Good for when I feel like something stronger in flavor than Lady Grey.
I’ve been away from Steepster for a while because of school (and I shouldn’t be on here now, because I’ve got an essay due tomorrow arghhh) but I just had to pop in and see what everyone’s been up to/procrastinate.
Anyway, the tea. I don’t know why, but the last two times I’ve tried making this on my own (outside of the Zarafina, which I gave to my mom) it tastes too…malty? Caramelized? Perhaps I’m steeping it too long…but it’s gone “meh” on me. Knocking this down a few points until I figure out what’s wrong.
Edit: Okay, maybe it’s the honey I’m adding that’s making it taste strange? Damn you CVS clover honey, damn you.
