My actual breakfast tea today, and a sipdown – a real(not temporary) one, this time. Although this was a nice tea, I don’t really feel a need to keep it stocked in my kitchen, especially since I have lots of other breakfast teas.
There wasn’t much left, so I added a little TG Yunnan … which I can’t seem to find in my cupboard right now, for some reason.
Preparation
A spectacular blend with lemongrass, pomelo and herbs.
Citrusy, light grassy and some herbal notes of anise.
Without caffeine it’s a good partner for an afternoon or as ice tea.
But it got a new mixture, without bamboo.
Flavors: Anise, Citrus Fruits, Sweet, warm grass
Preparation
One of my favourites! The smell is like a field full of wheat, a little nutty and grassy.
Specially as cold brew this tea is a great player for a hot day or afternoon.
A brilliant yellow cup with a taste of roasted rice, bread and nuts.
Flavors: Baked Bread, Dry Grass, Nutty, Rice, Roasted, Rye
Preparation
This is not your tea for a special afternoon;
this is your tea to drink along while eating, working or doing stuff.
Sencha-like, but not so grassy, more rough but mild, a little bit herbal and fruity.
It’s your ideal tea to accompany a meal or your day in general, if you just want an easy tea to drink.
The amount of coffein in bancha is lesser than in other green teas, because of the older leaves, so it’s good to drink at evening too.
Flavors: Dry Grass, Fruity, Herbs, Mineral
