Cold Brew Sipdown (1015)!
Possibly my last tea of the night; I had a packed day so now I’m just winding down…
When I don’t think about it, this tastes like the Tuttie Fruity flavour of Jelly Belly candies, which I think are probably one of the more polarizing flavours. I know that I really like them though, so I’m enjoying that element a lot. If I stop and pay more mind to the flavours I’m experiencing, I feel like I’m getting a combination of strawberry, banana, coconut, and pineapple – with emphasis on the strawberry banana elements. Either way, it’s enjoyable but I do slightly prefer the “mindless” approach – sometimes I don’t like when my brain dissects flavours…
Cold Brew Sipdown (1005)!
Now this is the vanilla rooibos that I’ve been craving all week!
I ordered both of the sample packs from the Tea Please website, which are single serving samples of her best sellers and also her holiday flavours – I think this was in the top sellers pack? I was worried there wouldn’t be enough leaf for a good cold brew but this is delicious. It’s not very rooibos forward, but the main sip tastes like a wonderful mix of vanilla cupcake batter and creamy, sweet Funfetti icing. Only downside is that the finish is a little bit fondant-y – which is to say a bit of a sweet doughy quality. However, it’s still great overall!
Inspired a bit by VariaTEA and now currently drinking this tea hot!
It’s nice as a hot tea, still quite sweet and fruity with those prosecco and apple notes that I observed the first time, but definitely doesn’t speak to me in the same way that it did cold. Mostly I’m finding it a little bit thin, and there’s a slight drying mouthfeel as well that appears to have been drawn out by hot water. Very slight, though.
I just think as a cold tea it was juicier/sweeter and there was a bit more flavour packed in. This is good, but I will revert back to iced for the rest of the sample.
Iced Tea!
I had a bad day, so I’m trying to disengage from what was stressing me out so much. Sometimes that’s a little hard to do when what you do for work is often also the thing you normally do to destress…
This came with the Tea Please (from the Black owned tea company list) order that arrived today and I made it to drink on my way home – it was very refreshing/tasty. I’m not in the mood right now for long winded tasting notes but I also don’t want my queue to get backed up so I’m sticking with jot notes tonight.
- Tasted like three main things: Strawberry, Prosecco gummy bears from Squish, and AJ
- AJ as in Apple Juice, not the Steepster user
- I have no clue what the Steepster user tastes like but I’d wager it’s probably not this tea
I might be laughing about this tasting note for the rest of the night. Your bullet points are priceless. :)
Bahahaha haha to those last points and also I’m jealous because my dad is holding my 2 Tea Please orders hostage. Pud Tea should arrive soon though…and myteabox.ca sub box for July
@AJRimmer: They are the same tea, that is to say, this one: https://steepster.com/teas/dethlefsen-and-balk/90162-strawberry-slash-type-sparkling-wine
Dethlefsen&Balk is a big wholesaler that sales to smaller teashops (Tealyra is another shop they sale to). This tea is one of my all-time favs, though I sipped it down some time ago!
