I really enjoyed this tea. I am noticing that I really like jasmine teas. I drank this one in the morning after my breakfast. The orange and jasmine notes really compliment each other. Although the orange flavor is really subtle.
Flavors: Jasmine, Orange
Preparation
This tea was nice. I really enjoyed the aroma of peach. I was surprised to find the peach flavor was really light however. It also had a grassy taste to it, but I did not mind. It left a citrusy aftertaste after I took each sip.
Flavors: Floral, Grass, Orange, Peach
Preparation
I really liked the citrus-y flavor of this tea. Also, I normally have to add sugar to my tea because I do not like bitter flavors but this tea was drinkable without any sugar. I got this tea as a set of 5 loose leaf tea’s from Amazon and it was a great start.
Flavors: Citrus
Preparation
I have had this tea on numerous occasions as I love white teas, fruit pieces, and vanilla in my tea. Aromatically, it’s really lovely and full bodied. The leaves are not as whole as I would like them, to be so the quality is less decipherable, but it’s a little easier to see once they’re steeped. This time, I steeped it in my big, white teapot and let it steep for three minutes. My mom and I enjoyed it together in my small, white porcelain cups. The first sip is pear forward which builds as you continue and has a lingering aftertaste of vanilla. My favorite thing about white tea is the slightly numbing mouthfeel and this one, in particular, remains on the pallet. The only thing I do not like is that the smell does not linger, and wanes as you steep the leaves. Regardless. my mom and I both thoroughly enjoy sharing a pot of this tea.
Flavors: Apple, Biting, Pear, Vanilla
Preparation
I thought this would be overly tart, but I actually found it had a good balance of cinnamon, dried fig and plum flavour, and fruity tartness. The spicy combination is nice, very warm and comforting. I wish the ginger was spicier, but overall it is a nice flavourful winter blend.
Flavors: Cinnamon, Dried Fruit, Fig, Plums, Raisins, Spices, Sweet, Tart
My mom brought home this tea the other day for the two of us to enjoy together. I steeped it today and in a big white teapot and used my favorite cups (the ones I will be using for the tea ceremony) for serving it. The tea has lovely aromatics of peach and earth. We enjoyed this tea together in our living room, sitting by the fireplace and looking out the window at the falling rain. The first sip did not have the traditional full-bodied, borderline floral flavor, but more of a dark tea with an essence of peach. As I continued to drink, the oolong flavor built and left a nice aftertaste. Overall, it was really lovely with a slight tang. We enjoyed it and the togetherness it brought us.

I’m suprised at how good this is.
Cup one was brewed up strong with a generous amount of vanilla soy milk. It was rich, creamy, decadent. and very, very raspberry flavoured. It almost seemed buttery and creamy. (I was expecting cocoa with the word ganache in there, but maybe they mean ganache made with no chocolate?)
Cup two was less than stellar. No milk this time and although the dry leaf smelled delicious there was almost no raspberry flavour left. The base was weak and slightly bitter. It was a good blend just based on how amazing that first cup was, however it doesn’t resteep well.
Flavors: Butter, Creamy, Fruity, Raspberry, Smooth, Sweet
Preparation
This was a so-so tea in my opinion. It wasn’t bad, but it lacked any distinguishing flavor profile to set it apart from other teas. That being said, if someone would just like some “hot tea” and nothing special in particular, this is a pretty basic staple tea to serve.
Overall it has an earthy tone with slight undertones of floral and fruit in the after taste. I find this is a fairly balanced and simple tea. I am not sure yet whether this is something I would repurchase, because Tea Forte is not very cheap, but the taste is smooth and it is full bodied for what it has.
Preparation
This is a rooibos chai that is extremely cinnamon-heavy. Some citrus, spicy ginger, and more rooibos. I like rooibos chais because they have a nice woody sweetness to them, but the cinnamon flavor is overwhelming and I’ve never liked cinnamon chais. I can’t taste any other chai spices (clove, cardamom, peppercorn), but the lemongrass is a nice addition. I don’t think this tea is well balanced and you taste mostly boring rooibos and cinnamon at the expense of the other ingredients.
Flavors: Cinnamon, Honey, Rooibos, Sweet, Wood
This is a pretty decent tea. I got it as part of a 3 tin sampler pack since Tea Forte tends to have some pretty good blends. If you put just a pinch of honey in here this is some really good stuff. The citrus accents are pretty well balanced with the herbal chamomile and it leaves a nice tangy after taste as well, which sets it apart from the boring plain chamomile teas.
I’m drinking this right before I have to sleep so hopefully it works well enough for that.

This was a gift from my daughter, Superanna from her trip to Florida! Thank you!
I am not quite sure what to do about this listing. Either the ingredients were put in wrong when this tea was listed or they have changed the ingredients, and I am betting it is the latter.
The ingredients listed on my tin and on their website are: organic ginger, organic lemon balm, organic licorice root, organic white tea, natural flavors, and organic pear.
This is the loose leaf version is the tin seals so tight it is hard to get it open. That is a big plus for freshness.
The scent is primarily ginger when I open the tin. I like ginger but not when it is too hot and spicy, and this one is right up my alley. My first sip really seemed to have licorice root at the fore, and I love licorice root, but the more I drank it the more everything balanced out and I was tasting ginger and licorice root and a hint of fruitiness that I don’t think I would have been astute enough to peg as pear.
Everyone is different, though, and my husband poured a cup of tea from the very same pot, took a sip and said it tasted really fruity to him. He liked it very much.
Bottom line is that it is really good, and I am guessing they switched out the blackberry leaves from the old description for licorice root and both were in there to add sweetness.
A co-worker received this from her mother and passed it along to me as she’s not a tea person (blasphemy!) Usually I detest when people try to buy or give me tea because 9/10 times I have better tasting ones at home, but I decided to give it a go because caramel nougat sounds like a great flavour and the blend is ostensibly organic.
I pretty much just brewed this Western style (96°C for 4 minutes) and was expecting a sweet desert tea like something from David’s Tea or another equally experimental company, but it completely took me by surprise and is way more savoury!
A caramel/malt flavour is definitely in your face, which I love, and I’m happy to report that it’s not much more sweet than a typical black tea. I can taste a bit of the hazelnut too which I assume is supposed to be the nougat part of the blend. Everything tastes balanced and is tied together by rather good black tea. Overall I’d say they did a great job emulating caramel nougat, and to be frank this is a pretty damn good blend. I probably won’t buy it, but I might order it at a cafe if I saw it somewhere.
Flavors: Caramel, Malt, Nuts, Sweet
Preparation
Crack juice. One tsp will make a very strong cup of apple goodness with a cinnamon aftertaste. Is slightly similar to Kinderpunsch.
Made the mistake of doing 3 tsp per cup + 3x steep time per manufacturer’s recommendation for iced tea, that’s too bloody strong even when I like very strong tea. 2 tsp is the right spot
Preparation
Hoo boy, does this steep up dark and opaque. I received this in a Tea Forte “single steeps” sampler set. Maybe my sample was a little stale? This is not a very strong tea. There’s not a lot of nuance here. It’s a pretty average assam.
I added some milk and a pinch of sugar to the second half of my cup. It brings out a slight caramel flavor, but this really still doesn’t taste like much. I normally steep my black teas at a slightly lower temperature to avoid astringency, but this probably needs to be prepared with water near a full boil.
