Rishi Tea

Alright, I changed my mind. After brewing a pitcher of it to have iced, I feel like I should add that it’s delicious cold. While the rooibos flavor seemed stronger when it was hot, it takes on a different and much more refreshing note when it’s cold. My brother and I went through the whole pitcher in one day. It’s sweet and summery, with a hint of something creamy in the aftertaste like vanilla.

I’ve upped the rating score just a little because of this. If you have this tea and haven’t tried it iced, I highly recommend that you do!

Also, I should note that though I mentioned before that this tea smells VERY strong when you open the package, it doesn’t describe what it’s like to make half a gallon at once. My entire apartment REEKED of blueberry. In fact, one of my roomies asked me if I was making muffins within the first minute steeping. I wonder if the neighbors could smell it, it was so strong!

First of all, this tea smells amazing. When I opened the tin, the room instantly filled with a mouth-watering blueberry scent. But I’m just not a fan of rooibos. It has that odd rooibos aftertaste that I just can’t get used to. Aside from that, though, it’s a great tea. If you’re into flavored rooibos, I’d say to go for it. It brews up a nice shade of magenta.

Last of this lot. Was starting to get a little spinach character.

A favorite cup. The second infusion was far and away the best. Juicy, soft, grassy and bright.

Love it! You might have to shake/mix it often though because some particles can settle at the bottom.

A solid well-rounded version, with good black depth and a nice bristling bergamot. Rarely over-astringent, very smooth, and a bit buttery. My go-to quick strong morning tea.

Awww…this is the last of my Rishi! Bummer…I will have to enjoy it while I can…I LOVE THIS STUFF! (But you REALLY have to like Peppermint! Which I do!)

NEEDED this to off set some of the awful tea aftertastes I’ve had so far today. I LOVE THIS TEA and I’m almost out of it. Lasted a long time tho! Only about 2 more steeps left

I’m a Mint-Freak! If you are, too, this is the Tea for YOU! Everything about it is a real eye opener! The smell, the taste, the color…all fantastic! I absolutely LOVE it! Totally intense!

Drinking a cup of Matcha is a great way to start a slow morning.
