I really like this one. It’s a great driving to work iced matcha latte flavor. Today I added some extra matcha – cheesecake. It boosted the creaminess and actually muted the almondy deliciousness a bit, but it was still YUM YUM YUUUUMMMM.
So basically I had 1.5t in 16oz of milk. It turns out that I need all the extra energy I can find today. Lots to do in the office, too many problems to solve. I shouldn’t even be on here, but well, I needed the break.
I really like this flavored matcha. I enjoyed it this morning on my drive into work. I probably shouldn’t have as my cough has started back up, but I really, really wanted it. (Fortunately, my cough isn’t too bad today, and does’t seem to be worse for my having had dairy.)
Cold latte with 2% milk. Delicious.
I do need to get some club soda and try this that way. I think it would be incredible. And perhaps add some extra (real) amaretto to it. Both of these are now on my list of things to do.
I really like this one. A lot.
Even though it’s cold and snowing again, I decided that I wanted this as an iced latte for my drive into the office. Delicious. I ordered a bigger cocktail shaker, and I also got a milk frother, just because I love this matcha.
I also ordered the Belgium Chocolate one when it was on sale a couple of days ago, just because of this one. I really shouldn’t have, but I couldn’t resist.
Anyway, this really made my morning.
This was a nice change for my first morning tea.
I couldn’t find my measuring spoon this morning – I looked all over the kitchen. I wonder if it fell on a the floor and is now a cat toy? I wouldn’t put it past those kids. Anyway, no measuring spoon, so I used an iced tea spoon, two scoops. A little bit of hot water (maybe 1/4c) and it blended right in. Then ice and 2% milk in my drink shaker and everything blended up perfectly. The little bit in hot water is definitely the secret to making this work for me.
I enjoyed it so much that it was gone within 10 minutes of my house.
I was expecting more of a buzz from it, but that’s okay.
The amaretto was definitely there, but never overpowering. It tasted quite nice. I could imagine I was drinking a nifty adult beverage instead of having my daily milk and driving into the office. I’m really glad I went with the distinctive flavor level. That’s the right way to go for me.
And people said in reviews that this bag didn’t seal, but small size does have a ziptop to it. Maybe people were referring to the samples which don’t?
I wonder if they went through a packaging change. I have only had zip top bags for regular sizes, but have only been ordering since last November.
Thanks MissB for adding such a fun flavored matcha. It brought back memories of my Grandpa taking me to Baskin&Robbins when I was little. I always got the one with bubble gum because it was like getting 2 treats in one. I think I may try and make matcha ice cream with this.
edit: Oh, I had this as an iced latte and it tasted like childhood memories and bubble gum ice cream :)
I received this in a swap from ashleyelizabeth. Thank you!
I am not sure what to think about this tea yet. I have 3 cups and one cup was meh, the other cup was good and then the third cup I drank cold and it was okay as well. I think I will have to drink it a few more times before I really make up my mind about it. I would describe this tea as bright. Very citrus with a weird finish. I wouldn’t be able to name raspberry as a flavor in the tea if given this to sip without the name, but it adds an interesting flavor to the end of the sip. it is a bit artificial tasting. For now I will have no problems finishing what I have, but not sure I would purchase this one again.
Preparation
Tea right when I woke up this morning to make up for my lack of tea the past two days!
First time I had this tea, thank to MissB!
I actually made matcha without laughing my butt off this time ahaha. Last time, I had no idea what the heck I was doing. But this time, I seemed like I knew what I was doing :) I think I found the perfect cup to make my matcha in. It has a pretty wide mouth, and not as tall as my mugs. That’ll probably be my matcha cup since I hate drinking tea out of it because it’s a really thin glass and it just gets super hot when I use boiling water and whatnot.
BUT THIS TEA. Good? I think? Tasted like matcha, can’t really get the Irish Cream out of it, but it’s super good nonetheless :)
Dude. Disneyland.
I haven’t been to Disneyland since last year, and I haven’t been on Disney property since I left the Program. AHHH YESTERDAY WAS GREAT.

This is a nice tea, but it’s still not as nice as the first time I had it. I think I got all the lemon peel in the first cup and just not as much since then. It’s still nice, though, but not like that first cup.
I woke with a bit of a stuffy head this morning. We’re getting new furniture and are moving things that haven’t been moved in 11 years. Oh the dust. Oh my allergies! So I decided to sit and enjoy a mug of tea before getting ready for work. It’s really helping.
I had this again this morning on my way to work. It was better than when I had it Saturday morning, but still nowhere near as delicious as it was the first time I had it. I have decided to lower my rating.
I think the first time I had it there was a lot more lemon peel in the tea than either of the other two times. This time was more of a balance of how it should be, I’m guessing. It was citrus, but not too citrus. I finished it just before I got to work.
I overleafed it, too, to see if that would help. Maybe it did. I don’t know. It’s Monday and I slept cruddy last night.
Preparation
I loved this tea the last time I had it. This time, somewhat underwhelmed. I’m not sure why. Maybe I didn’t leaf it quite enough. Oh well. it was still a nice cuppa for the morning, and my husband asked for one as well.
I’m going to leave my rating where it’s at and hope this was just an off morning for me.
I had this one in my travel mug this morning. I enjoyed the smell dry, but I could really tell when I pulled the infuser basket out after 90 seconds that this was going to be a winner by the scent alone. Running late this morning (thanks, Mr. Penny, for the cat puke all over the carpet and my gym bag) so I just screwed the sip top on and walked out the door. Stopped at my first light, I opened the travel mug and the scent wafted out at me.
Yes, I love lemon. I love lemon scents. This was just the right amount of lemon.
That first sip, I was surprised at how delicious it was. It tastes like lemon zest in my tea. Just a little sweet even. I wanted more and more. I drank almost the whole thing on my drive, even though I normally drink about half of my tea. And then I sat in my car in the parking structure and finished it so I could enjoy it before the rest of the craziness started.
I saved the leaves this morning because they still looked great (and I was running behind and didn’t have time to deal with them) so I think I’ll try another steeping when I get home.
And I really look forward to trying this one iced.
And the 160°F was a little harder for me to get to because that’s not a setting on my kettle. I turned it on and gave the cats treats, and next thing I knew, I was at 175°. But I added some tap water and it wound up exactly perfect. That was about the only good thing about this morning.
Preparation
I was right across the room from him. I just couldn’t get there in time to stop him. All over the bag, including into the spot where the zipper wasn’t quite closed. And a pile on the carpet, too, because he didn’t want to miss that.
My husband said that was his way of showing me he loves me and that he didn’t want me to go to work today.
I like how this tea is the perfect amount of citrus for me. It’s so nice and relaxing and tasty and I’m gonna have another one of these tonight.
Of course it’ll be messy. My awesome, beloved Thermos with tea infuser started leaking when I’ve got the infuser in it and I flip it upside down. At least I’m still within the return window and Amazon is shipping me a new one. At least I had something to return this time. I shattered my ForLife NewLeaf mug earlier this week – knocked it right off the table onto the heat register. Kablewey! Glass everywhere! This is not my week for teaware, apparently.
I quite like this one. It’s a nice, light, bright, relaxing tea. I’ve been enjoying this one before bed the last few nights. Tonight I had it a little earlier, and I’m thinking about having another mug of this.
Preparation
One of my new teas that arrived today, so I’m giving it a try. It’s a nice level of citrus and floral, gentle on the stomach. It’s also nice and relaxing.
It’s a nice color in the mug, too. (Using my new ForLife clear mug tonight, so I can really see the color. Lots of new toys today.)
Spent time this evening trying to help the volunteer coordinator for a FIRST Robotics Competition event I’m volunteering at in a few weeks. She’s short volunteers in a couple of key positions. I hope someone can step up and help out. These three event weekends are going to start killing us for skilled volunteers.
Preparation
I was excited to get a few red leaf matcha samples in my mystery pack from MissB and I knew right away I would have this one on St Patrick’s Day. I did and then I had it again tonight. Both times I used 6 oz organic whole milk shaken in a mason jar with 2 ice cubes. They were both yummy but the first one did not taste like Irish Cream. Today I left it in the fridge after preparing it for about an hour and it could just be my imagination but I felt like I could taste a little Irish Cream this time. Thanks MissB
Afternoon tea today, with lemon ice daisy cookies and an assortment of jams, spinach spread, and pimento for crackers. Using my new fleur de lis condiment spreader I nabbed in NOLA. It’s the little things…
You don’t see mint earls very often, at least I haven’t, so I was intrigued but also a little worried it’d prove a case of “well, now you know why!” But this is pretty good if you’re up for a little medicinal mint tang with your afternoon refreshment; the mint gives it a planty earthiness and tingle I like, and the bergamot leans toward the flowery type which normally I’m not down with but works with the earthy cleanness of the mint here. I think it would be excellent when you’re feeling slightly under the weather or queasy—not ill enough to make black tea a bad idea, mind, but just a little funky from, oh say, a heavy lunch. And I reckon this will be wonderful iced. I think I may, a year later (!), have finally cracked the code to Sazerac’s Garden District cocktail (it’s got earl grey infused vodka, honey, lemon, mint, and—the secret ingredient I only discovered last week!—pear brandy) and when I try to perfect it at home next go round I’m going to use this to infuse the vodka/gin. Mm.
I do imagine this could get unpleasantly bitter steeped longer than I went with, so I’ll have to remember to keep playing gentle with it.
Preparation
it haunted me for a year! i went home and tried to recreate it thinking it couldn’t be that hard given it’s recognizable basic building block ingredients that i know how to balance usually (re: the lemon and syrup and mint, i mean), but getting it right eluded me no matter how many times i tried. there was always a roughness from the tea tannin and fresh mint mixing with the lemon. pear brandy makes sense as the solution; i’ve used it before in rum and bourbon cocktail recipes and it has a nice softening, smoothing effect and a subtle delicate depth plain syrup doesn’t. when i figure out the proportions i will probaby post about it somewhere on steepster, ‘cause goodness knows i’ve been obsessed, ha. (:
Pretty much my favorite from the lot I’ve tried via Red Leaf. Full disclosure, I drink this with milk (either 2% or oat), and it’s really lovely, though I believe it’s something of an acquired taste. The caramel flavor isn’t overpowering, so you get a good feel for the earthiness of the matcha itself.
Flavors: Caramel, Earth, Vegetal
My wife loves cherry, so I chose this for our shared cold brew tonight. I had a sip before I added my agave and hoo boy. It was lip-puckeringly tart. So I added my agave, fixed my wife’s cup for her, and I added sugar to mine.
Oops.
So I have a painfully sweet cup because I can’t be bothered to pay attention XD. It’s good, but it’s got so much hibiscus, it’s making my stomach hurt. This blend is all for her.
Finished the last of this as an eggnog latte and what a way to see it off. Everything came together perfectly. The cream, present in even a plain cup, was on a whole other level and notes of sweet coffee deliciousness shined too. Everything about this worked. Everything. It was awesome!! This tea will be missed. Thank you Sil for the opportunity to enjoy it :) 280.
