I like the mixed colors of the brewed leaves. Reminds me of autumn. Which is appropriate since this is compared to an Autumn Darjeeling, my favorite Darjeeling season. There seems to be a high percentage of sticks to leaves in the bag I have, though this is my first bag so it may vary with subsequent batches. I noticed no floral notes, though I suppose there could be an argument made in favor of a “sweet” characteristic in comparison to other blacks and Darjeelings. Very nice reddish golden brown color liquid with a thin mouth feel. Very low astringency. I would definitely keep this in my pantry.

I think this may have been the only EG oolong I have ever had. If I had others…I can’t recall them at the moment. I will say this is quite impressive. I was hesitant not because I don’t like an interesting EG but because I was wondering just how it would work with an oolong. This is really amazing tho! It’s everything you would WANT in a EG and awesomely done with an Oolong! It’s one of the darkest infused oolongs I have ever tried liquor-color-wise but the over all experience was quite special. I will say I am a fan!

One of the more intensely flavored whites I have tried and I like it! It’s like Pom juice and white tea! Lovely! It leaves a fruity and floral aftertaste.

EG and Honeybush – sums it up! :) True to description! I really like the EG with the honeybush, actually…it’s one of the better nontraditional Earls I have had.

KeenTeaThyme

That’s an interesting blend, especially with Earl Grey. Cool – I’ll have to try that one.

IllBeMother221B

Always interesting to see what will and won’t mix well with EG.

This is really good! The Ginger and Orange are the main flavors and the peach is in the background…the green tea is also in the background, mostly. All 4 (main) ingredients are great with the others! This is good hot or cold! Nice Flavors! Not too weak and not too intense! :)

This is REALLY flavored and scented and since it was Pu Erh I figured I would start with the infusion time of about a minute…it was pretty impressive for my first attempt…usually I have to tinker with it for a few…but this worked nicely.

I wasn’t sure about the aroma but I could really smell a lot of that stereotypical Puerh smell but the EG Aroma helped cover a good amount of it.

The taste was intense and very EG flavored. I could still pick up on the Puerh but the EG Flavors really popped and really helped make the tea more drinkable and enjoyable.

If you are looking for different types of Earl Grey to try…this one is different but also very EG flavored.

Ok, I will just say it. I love this tea. There. Done.
Berry, slightly floral, no perfume, rich golden color, and solid black tea.

Last cup of the work day (a long one at that.) I find this an interesting and different tea. In the dry it is almost gorgeous with colored ribbons weaving in and out of the black leaves. The fragrance is quite fruity to my surprise, as I was expecting floral scent. I agree with other reviewers, apple does seem to be a major flavor but the black tea is there and other more subtle flavors. Some berry, maybe a touch of vanilla. It is very enjoyable and has held the full flavors through a cooling down (I got distracted during the first steep.)
The second cup won’t have time to cool as I am going to give it my full attention after this long day. A hearty thanks to QuiltGuppy for another new tea experience.

This is alright…
not bad but not over the top WOW either
It’s juicy but also a little bitter.
I think I might like this one better iced.

NOTE: I NEVER add sugar to my teas.

Now that I have gotten that out of the way I will tell you this…

These remind me of ROCK CANDY I had as a kid! LOVED them! They taste like it too!
It’s pure-white sugar on a stick! It adhere’s to the stick well but it also swizzles well in the hot tea too!

I will be doing a FULL REVIEW over at SororiTEA Sisters soon!

I ended up trying this one in the Kick In The Cup Tea from them and it was pretty good! This…coming from someone who NEVER adds sugar to their tea, mind you! :)

This is a nice product!

For someone who NEVER adds sugar to their teas…for my 2nd cup of this one from Red Leaf I decided to follow their optional suggestion by adding one of their White Sugar Sticks to it. And I must say it was very good. It does take the edge off of the WICKED BOLD Black tea taste – but I guess it all depends which way you want to go! I LOVE the boldness of this but I have to say – this is one tea I could go with or without sugar…I enjoyed BOTH cups!

I don’t know why I am hesitant to drink Rose flavored teas…I assume they are going to be bitter from all the rose petals…but that is rarely the case.

This is very nice!

It’s everything you would expect from a Rose EG! It’s intensely scented and the flavor is ‘just right’ once it hits the tongue.

It’s juicy and floral – and it meets in the middle wonderfully!

WOW
…just…WOW

these are tightly ‘braided’ and much like a work of art!

Not much for aroma but the taste is Juicy-Sweet-wheat-YUM! The color is near clear.

This is very crisp and clean! Very nice!

Dry this had a hint of vinegar aroma to the nose…nothing too drastic tho.
While infusing…woodsy and a little like syrup.

This infuses dark.

The taste is unexpected and interesting! Just when I am thinking a mellow bark like taste is changes up to a syrupy type taste and just when I think I have that nailed it changes to a smooth and velvety rice hint but then I think it almost has some drier wine notes coming thru.

If you are one of the people turned off by pu-erhs because you may think they are wormy or earthy – try this one – it’s very different!

I was a little scared when I first smelled this one. It reminded me of a tea I tried a while back that I found to be way too sweet and way too cinnamony…like cinnamon red hots! Don’t get me wrong…I LOVE cinnamon red hots – I just didn’t care for it in my tea!

BUT

When I sipped this I was relieved to find out that it was pretty good! It’s not something I would pick out for myself if I were to see it on a shelf in a store based on the smell…but lucky for me I enjoy trying new things!

Piping hot this tasted like a chai with candy-sweet cinnamon instead of an Indian Cinnamon Spice or powder type cinnamon taste if you know what I mean.

After a few moments at room temperature the Wine flavors come out more…an interesting addition.

The aftertaste is a stronger black tea paired with a more natural tasting cinnamon.

This is complex and fun! It has a lot of character!

This smells like carpet/refresher powder! But don’t like that scare you! This tastes great! If you like EG and you like mint – this is RIGHT ON! It’s everything you would expect and it’s pretty intense! A Mission Accomplished sort of flavored tea! Hooray!

Daddyselephant

This sounds like my wife’s perfect tea! Holy cow, thanks for bringing Red Leaf Tea to my attention…the free shipping over $75 extends to Canadian addresses too, and their prices and selection are awesome! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

TeaEqualsBliss

Thank YOU!!! for commenting! RL is awesome! I have enjoyed their teas before and am super jazzed about my new shipment!!! Stay tuned for more!

IllBeMother221B

This sounds awesome, but after all the tea I had delivered yesterday my husband may divorce me if I order more! (kidding) I’ll need to keep this in mind once I make some space on the shelf.

Ahhhhh! This is NICE…smooth…sweet-floral flavors! A non-astringent darjeeling that is very pleasant and comforting.

I can taste the honeysuckle likeness and something that resembles subtle hints of lemon.

This is FAB!

KeenTeaThyme

Honeysuckle?! Yum – that’s a sure sign of spring too!

This one didn’t last long in my stash! A great morning tea! Backlogging…

ScottTeaMan

I’m not exactly sure…..What is “backlogging”?

Erin Hurley

You drank it a while back, didn’t record it, and you’re recording it now.

ScottTeaMan

So all of my older teas, even from years ago, could be considered backlogging?

Erin Hurley

If you remember well enough!

ScottTeaMan

YES MOST I DO, SOME I REMEMBER DRINKING BUT NOTHING ELSE, WHILE OTHERS I REMEMBER ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT. (CAPS off)
Still other favorites I will reacquaint myself with & post reviews. Look for my review on Harney & Sons Apricot tea later today.

Erin Hurley

Will do Scott! i only just started drinking tea so I’d have a hard time FORGETTING anything lol.
