I’m having one last cup of this before sending the rest to Ashley. I have been throwing together a Mystery Box for her for quite some time and it’s taken me way too long so I am adding more to the package! I know by saying this on here this specific one will not be much of a mystery but there will be plenty of others in there as well!

This has a hint of hibiscus in it…not much more than that…thankfully. This is the right amount of hibiscus for me!

I want to say the Peach is a little bit more heavy on the flavoring than the other ingredients in here but not by much…all of the flavors seem to work really well with each other! VERY NICE!

Okay…okay…this has Hibiscus in it! I know what you are thinking…and you’re wrong…I actually LIKE it!!!!! I’m not going to complain about this at all! Not even a “BUT”. Whatever or however Octavia measured the hibiscus in this…they’re genius! This is great! It’s fruity but just the right amount of tart! I think the fruits they chose for pairing was what made it all happen! Drank 1 hot and 1 cold…I like it better COLD

YAY!!!!

LENA

What?!? My eyes deceive me! LOL :)

drank Wild Blueberry by Octavia Tea

I got a surprise tea package in the mail today from my friend Lizbet and this is one of the tea samples she sent. I’ve been wanting to try this one!! Thanks Lizbet!

This tea is interesting. I taste white tea, blueberry, and something else. I can’t figure out the something else part. But in the mouth, I taste the mystery flavor. In the aftertaste, I get the blueberrry and the white tea flavor. The mystery flavor when you first drink it is almost vegetal, like spinach… which I’ve never tasted in a white tea. Strange. It makes me think about it a lot while I drink it. The blueberry flavor is fantastic.

Thanks for the sample, Meghann! I really like this one, but I am quite partial to blueberry (about to bake some blueberry muffins, in fact, and I had a blueberry smoothie for lunch). I was careful to stick to the brew temperature and time, and what resulted was a very mild tea that I’d actually like to try iced (I’m on an iced tea kick). I’m not sure this unseats my favorite rooibos blueberry by Rishi, but it’s quite good.

That sounds good too. I just ordered the Blueberry Rooibos from Fava. I wonder if it’s similar to the Rishi. The ingredients look identical.

Lisbet

Heh, I’ve noticed that Rishi sells its blends to other tea shops to put their own name on. Pretty weird, actually :)

Kristin

It’s funny since it’s cheaper at Fava. If you order the Butternut, you’ll have to grab some blueberry and see if they are the same.

Had a delightful mug of this at the Pickwick Society when I stopped there with friends last night. The aroma was so enticing, such succulent berries with a bit of a sparkling note that just catches and pulls you in. The tea was very lightly flavored and did well to hydrate me. I ended up choosing a friends tea (blueberry white tea) to take home though, as it was much more flavorful and fragrant than the surprisingly simple taste of the Raspberry Champagne. I may pick up a tin of this loose leaf after I finish the blueberry.

I’ve been meaning to review this tea for quite some time. A staple in my weekly lineup, Octavia’s 100% Organic Silver Needle is a very earthy, sweet, and refreshing tea. The leaves are exquisite with a robust nectar/honey scent and the distinct “fuzzy” profile. They seem to have been packaged perfectly with only a trace of broken leaves. After brewing for about 4-5 minutes, the tea lived up to its description with a natural mellow/sweet finish and a touch of earthiness. Although its not the best Silver Needle I have brewed, it’s definitely worth checking out.

I’ve been watching Octavia for a while because, and I know that this is completely shallow of me, I like their tins. How do they compare to other companies you’ve tried?

Thomas M. Frank

I usually stick to tea by Upton Imports or Itoen, but for a fairly commercialized brand, this tea doesn’t fall too far behind the others. The quality and taste seem to match up fairly well.

I finished the can of this tea I had long ago, so I can’t give a real in-depth review of it. I do remember it being delicious, though.

drank Pomegranate by Octavia Tea

First time I tried this I used around 190 degree water. The can says to use boiling so this morning I tried it out. Previously I tasted a lot of the pomegranate but today I am getting a rose type flower flavor underneath the sweet tartness of the pomegranate. A very interesting tea.
