Very bitter

This tea has a very fruity and sweet taste! would definitely recommend

Shou sample I got in the mail from Steph on the Slack chat! This is a very clean shou with a strong mineral note. Like every shou I’ve had from Mandala it is very good.

Smells exactly like a jasmine flower. Smells like perfume. Tastes like a honeysuckle. NO need for added sugar whatsoever. Love it! Incredible flavor. Light yellow color.

This was my first experience with a white tea. I received this in a Tea Party sampler from Mandala. I really didn’t know what to expect but I thoroughly enjoyed it. This tea is very delicate with subtle floral notes with almonds. There’s a lingering bit of sweetness that I really enjoy.

Got an aroma of honey and mainly tasted bitterness with a little bit of sweetness. Mainly bitter

cream water like, really light color, stronger flavor at second time, vegetable taste. bitter and bitter,m but the color doesn’t change it too much

First steep: stringent, edamame

I received this tea as part of the Tea Party sampler from Mandala Tea. I don’t exactly hate the smell of jasmine but I certainly don’t particularly like it. I had very low expectations for this tea but since I’m on journey to expand my tea knowledge I was prepared to give it a fair shot.

Okay, so while I wasn’t too impressed with the smell of this tea the taste was pleasantly surprising. It’s buttery smooth, the jasmine is very subtle, and there are some delicate floral notes. After 4 steepings I can’t tell if the jasmine smell has decreased significantly or if I’ve just grown accustomed to it. I do find this tea very relaxing.

Farewell shou. While this one is a decent enough puerh, there are others from Mandala that i vastly prefer. It was nice to visit with this one but it doesn’t need a permanent home with me – there’s just not enough of the characteristics i love for me to really get behind it as anything more than a decent cup(s).

my puerh for the day unless i get time to have another. This one is feeling a little weak this morning. I think my next cups will be steeped a little longer. still a decent cup but not my favourite from mandala…esp not when you compare it against things like noble mark, special dark etc…

so confused that there’s no review from me on this tea because i’ve certainly had it before given the bag is no longer full. Brewing this one more grandpa style than anything today and it’s delicious, as most mandala shou are…at least for me.

I quit smoking cigars about 10 years ago but the aroma of this tea reminds me of my most favorite cigar ever: a Padron 1964 Anniversary Series cigar in a Maduro wrapper. In this tea, I detect very strong notes of tobacco along with leather, raisins. and dark chocolate. The smell is simply intoxicating.

This is a silky smooth tea. It’s ‘earthy’ but not ‘EARTHY’ like the other shou puerhs I’ve sampled in my short tea journey so far. I taste mushrooms, hints of dark chocolate, and maybe a touch of cedar.

I like this tea quite a bit. I received it as a sample in a recent Mandala order. I think I’ll be ordering up some more of this one soon!

A malty sweetness with hints of leather and cherry. One of the few teas I’ve found so far that satisfies my early morning need for “All The Caffeine!”

For the first steeping, the color is a golden orangey color with a scent of ash or a campfire. This was my first ever smoky tea and it has a very strong taste of ash and smoke. The second steeping, there was a darker orange color and a stronger taste of smoke and ash. I wouldn’t drink it all the time, but maybe if I’m going to drink only once

AMAZING! Beautiful light color, has a floral smell and is smooth and relaxing.

For the first couple steepings, you will taste jamine, but in later steepings there is a grassier taste. THE BEST TEA I HAVE EVER TASTED
