I have been looking forward to try this tea after I saw people raving about for a while on different platforms. Brewed 2 tsp hot for 5 mins.
The tea is beautiful light purple. It smells very much of citrus but the taste is disappointing. The tea tastes bland to me. There is a floral aftertaste but nothing other than that. Going to try to brew this longer to see if that makes a difference. I also want to see if cold brewed, it tastes different as well.
Preparation
I am rather surprised. I keep returning to this one quite frequently over some of my more preferred staples. There’s just something about it that sits well with me. I’m going to raise my rating a little.
I wish Harney and Sons carried this as loose leaf instead of in the sachets. They go so fast.
Flavors: Bergamot, Whiskey
Preparation
I will start this off by saying I am not a huge fan of Earl Gray teas. I’m just not wild about bergamot. But, I saw this while poking around for some herbals and decided to try it.
And I’m glad I did. Its a nice balance of smell and flavor. The bergamot doesn’t dominate and blends in with the rest of the flavors well.
Flavors: Bergamot, Citrus, Whiskey

I made a pot of this to go with a cinnamon breakfast bagel this morning. My husband has been asking for black and puerh tea “just in case” it helps against Covid19, and I was getting tired of the same very mild ones all the time. I made this hoping it would pass muster enough, but instead of just passing (he usually wants oolong, white, or green) he said he thought it was really good. He was drinking it sans additions, too. So hooray!
Naturally I showed him some other black teas and rattled the tins, and then let me hear the lack of rattle of this tin. The leaves are too fluffy and light to make a sound! We made two steeps and mixed them together for one big pot. It was gone before we knew it. Good stuff.
This doesn’t have the roughness of some Assams that my poor tummy can’t handle.
Neat! I am so pleased that my husband liked it and is getting used to black tea without milk and sugar. I wouldn’t have guessed he would like this one so much.
“too fluffy and light to make a sound” Nice. Also, that description made me tired. Where is my pillow made of these tea leaves.
NO I didn’t mean I actually had a tea pillow! This tea just made it sound like a great idea. Oh gosh. haha
tea-sipper: They are a real thing, you know! Years ago I suggestion to save your leaves and dry them thoroughly and keep them until you have enough for a pillow! I did it for a while, mostly with large Ceylon leaves, but stopped saving them because the weather wasn’t good for drying leaves outside and I didn’t want them all soread out in the house,
Here is one site recommending oolong, but I think most teas you enjoy can be used…although I don’t know if I would enjoy a shu puerh pillow!

Happy Lunar New Year!
This is one of my recent Harney samples. There is a nice fruit aroma of apricots. The flavour is sweet and apricot too. It is mild, and delicious. Having a second cup while playing Animal Crossing- New Leaf this afternoon.
Flavors: Apricot, Sweet
A cold is making the rounds and pretty much the whole family has it. Middle daughter and I were hit pretty hard and now I am having a froggy voice (imagine Marge Simpson’s sisters) and a bit of a cough with throat irritation.
I need something hot before bed to soothe my throat and help me sleep as I hardly slept last night. I pulled my oversized jars of these and mixed them half and half. They taste like they should, and they do the trick. This is not a favorite head over heels sort of beverage but they work and they help. I regret not spending more time looking for my spearmint or peppermint stash to add to it, because that would have made it a lot more soothing as well as tastier.
Hopefully tomorrow is a better day.
Very nice and toasty, with grilled peach undertones as described. Very well-behaved tea with a lot of body. This would probably be great for blending with a more astringent first flush darjeeling that needs a little balance. I still have a bunch of Vahdam Teas, so I will try this blend idea out with the Giddahapar first flush.
Flavors: Peach, Toasty

Sipdown!
Perfect wintertime tea. I love the tangy cranberry with the slightly sour hibby. Suits my current mood perfectly.
Is anyone else not really feeling the holidays this year? I haven’t even put my Christmas tree up and to be totally honest, I probably won’t bother at this point at all. Last-minute gift purchasing and general fatigue (both physical and mental) abound.
Flavors: Cranberry, Fruit Punch, Fruity, Hibiscus, Pleasantly Sour, Tangy
This is a lovely herbal/ fruit tea. H & S blends are always blended so perfectly. The orange peel and flavoring balances out the flavor profile. Sweet, with just the perfect edge of bitterness that makes cranberry so appealing. Truly does the berry and the flavor justice!
It’s a nice fall/ wintertime blend, great for snowed-in Sundays like today. It would go very well with a toasted and buttered English muffin.
Sorry that all my flavors posted twice. Steepster glitched on me.
Flavors: Cranberry, Cranberry, Hibiscus, Hibiscus, Orange, Orange, Sweet, Sweet, Tangy, Tangy, Tart, Tart
Preparation
Dark and toasty a little bit of fruit juice like hint of a hot cider. Incredibly smooth and thick. I got a hint of chocolate in the dry leaves like Dutch process cocoa powder. Black Currants. When I brew it I start at around 185f for initial steeping. And as it unravels I’ll try to use water around 205f. Which I do several steepings in between so I run through water really quickly. Also I brew in a gaiwan so I use a high ratio of leaves to water.
Flavors: Chocolate, Cream, Fruity, Roasted, Thick, Toast
Very nice “tea”. The leaves are green flakes. They’re almost bark like in texture. The liquor is a pale greenish brown. It smells like roasted cauliflower or broccoli. It tastes like roasted vegetables as well with a bit of a woodsy taste.
Flavors: Asparagus, Broccoli, Roasted, Vegetables
Preparation
Love this tea. It’s a Native American Tea. It isn’t from camellia sinensis. It’s a type of holly that is native to the southern region of North America. The caffeine in it hits you different than the caffeine in teas or coffee. It doesn’t cause jittery feelings. It a nice energizing boost. The leaves are brown flakes that look almost like bark. The flavors are smooth it has a light coffee taste. The Black has a roasted flavor. When it’s brewed it looks golden brown in color.
Flavors: Nuts, Roasted
