STTB Tea

I thought I would like this one because I love oatstraw and dried grass in herbals. This one tastes like licorice root, celery seed, and some spices from your grandma’s spice cabinet. Despite the pretty colour, I can’t really get into this blend. The fruit is faint, the metallic overly sweet licorice root doesn’t go at all, and the blend doesn’t have any lavender from what I can taste. It was a neat experience to taste this, however I don’t see myself wanting to have this again. I think I associate the savoury herbs with medicinal stuff and it doesn’t make me enjoy the cup as much.

This is quite a unique profile compared to the many other butterfly pea flower blends I’ve tried; mellow and refreshing honey and nutty notes from all of the oat straw with a subtle warming ginger, whisper of blueberry, and lingering back of the throat sweetness from the licorice!!

I found it refreshing, but I honestly couldn’t decide by the end of the brew if I actually liked the flavour or not. It wasn’t bad or anything, but it was just sort of so different that I threw me off and I couldn’t see it having a larger place in my cupboard.

Adding it back to the box – I really want to see other people’s thoughts on it!
