Good Earth Teas

This is a favorite for me. I used to drink it with my mom on our back patio, and visit with her about all manner of things. It is rich, sweet, citrus-y, and smells wonderfully spicy. I like it very hot, with honey if my throat is sore.

Ch3eeyPrin3ss Sent me this one a while ago and i found it at work and made ice tea with it since its 98 Degrees and rising here in Maryland. the smell is amazing but without a little sweatner there is really no taste but with the sweetner there is that blueberry tast its very nice Not to strong but very enjoyable on a hot summers day :)

Sipdown! (I think…)

Used my last bag of this today. It’s quite good for a CTC supermarket tea, but I’m not really sure how to rate this compared to the unadulterated teas I’ve logged. (I brew this strong to take milk & sugar, and it’s kind of disgusting at that strength without the additions.) Anyway, it’s a solid breakfast tea, brisk and sturdy. I liked it, but not so much that I’d seek it out specifically.

I usually drink a Celestial Seasonings Sweet Coconut Chai if I am craving chai, but I just found this in my cupboard and thought it would make a great chai latte. I steeped it extra long (5-6 minutes) since I wanted the stronger flavor. The scent of the tea bag itself lacks the scent of typical chai, but did have a strong spice. The brewed tea was pretty much more of the same. It didn’t taste like chai, just a mix of different spices with a very minor hint of chocolate that you have to strain to taste. The predominant taste was the spice mix, which just did not taste right. I added some creamer and a bit of sugar, but the flavor did not improve. I was only able to have a few sips, before I started dreading the next sip. It also did not sit too well with my stomach. Overall, very disappointing.

I like this tea for when I’m craving green tea but don’t want to caffeinate myself. I have no complaints! The box looks different now – it’s purple with green.

I am loving this tea to get me through a cold. Doesn’t keep me awake and has the benefits of green tea.

I like this tea, especially when I’m not feeling well, because it just tastes healthy. I’ve noticed the matcha is not evenly divided between the tea bags – sometimes they are covered in green powder and sometimes it looks like an average tea bag – no matcha in sight. I like to enjoy this tea when I need a little boost or feel like I could use some vitamin C. It’s an enjoyable tea, although I wish every bag had matcha. I miss the little quotes that used to be on the tea – now it’s a blank white tag.

I got lucky tonight and got a bag that was bright green with matcha – yum!

This is what started it all. I started drinking this tea when I was a little girl living in Pasadena, CA where the original Good Earth restaurants used to be. We always ordered this tea when we ate there and always had it in stock at home. I love the sweet combination of cinnamon and mint. It gives me fond memories

I don’t know what it about this one but I really didn’t like it. It was way too bland for me. I don’t know if maybe the one I had was old since all the other reviews are talking about strong flavors. Also the sweetness in it was really fake tasting to me. Also looking at the ingredients listed for this tea here on steepster is different then on the bag I had it listed artificial flavoring. I normally like honeybush blends but this one for me was just bad…

Backlogging from yesterday

Cutting back on the caffeine, drinking the decaf version of this.

Needed something decaf, and it was either this or Xiao’s Blend by Peet’s… Might have to go back to drinking the latter.

I picked up this tea at the grocery store after I was done at the thrift store. (I actually found a really pretty bone China tea cup and a gold colored framed photo of a tea cup and it said “tea time.” How cute is that?!) Sorry back to my tasting note! ;) This was my first time trying a tea from Good Earth! I love how it smelled while it was steeping! So refreshing! I loved how well I could taste the lemongrass! It has a light sweetness to it that is really enjoyable! I can’t wait to try more teas from Good Earth because I really loved this one! ♥

Although I enjoyed this tea, I would say it doesn’t taste any different than other boxed commercial chai teas. The spice is a little artificial and I really tasted no vanilla at all. In truth it’s a place holder until my premium loose teas come in the mail :)

One of my favorite caffeine free teas. DON’T oversteep this one. It tastes very spicy, but over steep it and you will feel like you are drinking liquid cinnamon. Not in a good way. So sweet no sugar is necessary.

I picked this up on a whim last week. I don’t mind the occasional ‘fruity’ tea, while I prefer spicy, and I like mangos. That said I found the artificial mango flavor and scent completely overwhelming. I could barely finish the cup. I actually feel guilty, but I’m going to throw the rest of the box in the trash.
