I enjoyed this while at lunch with girlfriends at a nice tearoom Sugarplums and Tea. We had great food and tea! A lovely time!
This tea was greatly flavored strawberry and I also got the cream part while using a nice light green tea base. Super yummy, refreshing and relaxing! We each had our own pot of different tea but I think everyone purchased some of this one loose to take home. We all loved it!
This tea has become a summer time staple at our house. The black tea is very smooth and the passion fruit adds a sweetness and full flavor but does not compete with the tea itself. It’s great sweetended and we prefer it cold. One of Anna Marie’s BEST!!
Preparation
My 7 year-olds favorite tea. It’s very fruity and tastes great with a tad bit of stevia. You pick up hints of tropical type fruits like mango or papaya. We drink it hot or iced, very versatile. I love it for the health benefits of the green tea.
Preparation
The clerk had mentioned this was a very pretty tea so I fixed it in my Teavana Teamaker. What a delight! It uncurls to look like gold ribbons streaming through a rich amber sea. The caramel bits melt and mellow the drink without clouding it like milk would have done.
After posting on the discussion board about my son eating this tea, I raced into the kitchen to fix a pot of this. We usually drink this in the summer as ice tea but it is fun to switch around sometimes. With so much cold weather, we’ve been drinking a great deal of hot cider so this was a nice change.
On a side note – I love it when a tea becomes more than simply a beverage. Fixing this always floods me with fond memories of my grandfather. The strong aroma when you open the tin reminds me of his pipe tobacco which must have been fruit flavored.
Preparation
With a name like Russian Black, I expected a smoky flavor but got quite a surprise. This is a sweet fruity blend. According to the description, this is a popular blend created for one of their tea parties. You can easily taste the strawberries and raspberries. I definitely will be picking up more of this so that we can try it as ice tea next time.
This is probably my favorite of all the green teas I have ever tried. Very versatile. It doesn’t taste too “green” (bitter might be a better word there). I feel it’s smooth and not too mellow. I like it iced and hot, sweetened or not. It’s a nice one to mix with florals or herbs. I have used it to make a nice remedy for sinus infections/congestion and have mixed it with clay to make a facial!
Preparation
The black adds body but the white gives it a subtle sweetness and mellows it out. The pomegranate is just right, not too pungent. I don’t get the cream so much…maybe it’s making it smooth rather than giving it a cream flavor. I typically sweeten my tea but didn’t feel it needed it at all. Very nice treat to wake up to.
Preparation
This is one of my summertime favorites. I always drink it cold and sweeten it with stevia. It almost has a floral quality to it on the back of the tongue. It is very mellow and delicate so I tend to steep it up to 10 minutes for a stronger flavor. I have used about 4 teaspoons for a 5 cup pot but thinking I might up it to 5 teaspoons.
Preparation
Happy to say my efforts move the entire family away from soda to ice tea have been successful. This seems to be my husband’s favorite ice tea. The fruit bits add a pleasant raspberry taste. I’ve had plenty of others that had an artificial taste afterwards. We’ve already downed the entire pitcher. Looks like I’m going to have to start making a double batch.
Anna Marie’s Tea Shop was serving this at the Taste of Liberty event this evening. Given that the weather was warm and humid after a storm, this was a delight served iced. My husband enjoyed it so much that he actually suggested that I purchase some to fix at home. What a shock since he is usually teasing me that I have too much tea stock piled. Who was I to argue???
Most companies describe the vanilla teas as warm so I think the name if fitting. Who doesn’t want to think warmth with all this cold weather? At first, I thought this also included caramel since it was so mellow. A sip begins with the vanilla smell, then the vanilla flavor and finishes with the soft hint of chocolate mint.
:) It is really good! I think I will have to hide this one from my mom when she comes! LOL
