I’m one of those people who really enjoyed FFXIII. I found the story refreshing and the quick pacing totally appropriate for a group of people who are essentially enemies of the state. And I adore the character development. Like Sazh and Vanille. Unf.

Anyway, this one has notes of honey and apple in the front of the sip, neatly wrapped in a sweet blueberry finish. with a lingering floral blueberry aftertaste. The honey and blueberry merge as the cup cools. There’s nothing medicinal in the rooibos and it is really a calming cup.

I’m so incredibly happy with how my blends are turning out.

I’m feeling really weird reviewing one of my own blends, because I feel like there’s really not a good way to be unbiased. But I’ll try. Gah!

It’s rich and creamy, with subtle sweet elements of chocolate. Caramel adds a depth to the cup, and cinnamon and nutmeg add a spice interest. Then, just when you think you’re done, the hazelnut pops up at the end and lingers until the next sip.

It all works really well together and feels far worse for you than it is. A bit bready and desserty, really. It holds up to milk and sugar really well, but absolutely doesn’t need either.

In any case, I was really pleased with how this turned out and it’s pretty nom.

This tea is absolutely gorgeous. I drank Oerba Dia Vanille first and loved it only to love this one even more. The spices carried through making this a perfect follow up cup so just a truly wonderful afternoon for tea.

Let me officially begin by saying that spice is a fickle mistress. She has many sides to her that, when mastered, continually gift you and when underestimated, can bite you in the ass. This tea shows mastery in taming Lady Spice’s ways. The initial sip is a sweet, dark side of spice. Flavors play upon your tongue as you at once experience the bite that spice dictates as well as the sweetness it later soothes with. The chocolate chai, along with some sweetness from the coconut, is an absolute delight.

But wait, there’s more. As the flavor of the spice fades, hazelnut bursts in like a white knight. Having come to your rescue only to find you need no rescuing, the hazelnut marries with the earlier sweetness for gorgeous finishing taste.

Will definitely need to keep this tea on hand as the treat it so definitely is.

Allow me to set the scene for you. The setting is either Victorian or neo Victorian. High tea. You are dressed in all finery. Silks and lace and ribbons adorn you. You sit in a high backed white chair at a white outdoor serving table. You and your closest companion exchange smiles and small talk over Jasmine tea and sugar cookies (or perhaps snickerdoodles). That is what this tea tastes like.

Brilliant.
