drank French Earl Grey by T2

Relatively strong for a floral tea. It mutes the floral notes to an extent, but I don’t mind that too much. It’s predominantly apricot and bergamot that I taste, and it makes for a good combination.
This was a sample which I may consider buying once I finish all the variants of Earl Grey that live in my house.
It’s been a few days since I actually drank this sample and I still think about it, which is probably a good indication.

This tastes like the teabag it is, but a pretty good teabag.
It also tastes like the decaf it is, but a pretty good decaf.
What I notice is a lightly roasted aroma with vegetal and seaweed notes. It’s light and refreshing and I drink this whenever I feel like I’ve consumed too much sugar or fat and need to cleanse out the system.

Refreshing and tasty :)
Both mint and chocolate are noticeable. I enjoyed this more with milk.
Probably couldn’t have this everyday but it’s nice once in a while

Nope. Don’t like rooibos. Except for the Caramel & Rum by Lupicia.
On to the Rooibos Mediterranee, it is basically just bergamot-flavoured. The rooibos is nicely sweet and slightly nutty but the texture has that weird slight thickness to it that comes with every rooibos I’ve tried from various companies.
Maybe I’ll try this iced, see if it might do away with my dislike

drank Banana Bake by T2
109 tasting notes

Had this a few times now.
I’ve oversteeped and overleafed it, understeeped and underleafed it, made it with regular milk and soy milk, drank it with and without sugar, and straight as well.
Delicious every.single.time.
It means a lot to me when you can do whatever the heck you want with a tea and still have it taste so good.
This was limited edition and it sold out in most stores nationwide in mere weeks.
There are so many other teas I want to try but I bought a second box of this because once it’s gone, it’s gone. Unless it was super popular, which in that case they may add it to their permanent collection but no guarantees. Having said that, I have a feeling it will be brought back but I grabbed the very last box at my store anyway.
Have to comment on how damn pretty the leaves are as well. Dark and slightly twisted, with bright yellow strands weaved throughout, real banana pieces and bold red flecks.
Bring it back, T2. Please. Pretty please.

Darn, I reckon I’m too late to pick up at a box now. Only a few more weeks until I’m over in Australia as well!
I’m with you in hoping they bring it back promptly :)

Strong and robust like a good breakfast tea should be. Zero astringency. The cream flavour is nice and smooth; I get a pleasant coconutty note from it. Judging by how fast I drank down a pot of this, it’s definitely a winning blend in my books.

There was so much hype about this. I bought it in sachet form from iHerb and it didn’t taste like anything! I figured maybe it was a very old tin or it was damaged by light or heat. So I went ahead and bought another tin. I can taste the vanilla, kind of like a plain vanilla cupcake, but it still seemed weak to me.
Perhaps all the rave reviews were for the loose leaf, which I’m now desperate to try but is sadly unavailable in Australia. Will have to wait until I go on exchange in the U.S.
At least the tin is pretty.

It might have been old. Iherb has a huge inventory, so who knows what the turnover is…

drank Irish cream by Adore Tea
109 tasting notes

Ah, my crush on Adore Tea has ended ):
Ordered a whole bunch of samples from their online store and sad to say that almost all of the blacks taste exactly the same, save for a sprinkling of artificial flavour in order to distinguish them from one another. Some were frankly kind of bland enough that I don’t have a single thing to say about them.
It’s also $1 for a two-cup sampler, and I have been sent expired ones, or ones close to the expiry date, with some packets not even sufficient in amount to make a single cup.
I will still make tea out of the 40+ samples I have left, just to try them all, but most likely I will be pouring them down the drain after a few sips.
However, Adore Tea has free domestic shipping for the rest of the month and I will be stocking up on my tried and true favourites (Soursop Sencha and Cherry Ripe) and a few that were decent (Decaf Ceylon). The good ones are usually because of natural flavouring such as vanilla beans and essential oil.
Disappointed in this Irish Cream though. The flavour is there, but meh. Weak.
Still on the hunt for a tea that tastes like Baileys.

drank Riotous Rose by T2
109 tasting notes

There’s too much going on here. I guess that’s why this frenzy of flavours is described as Riotous.
Made this iced and it was quite tart and strong, but when toned down with more water and sweetened with Turkish Cherry sugar, it becomes much more pleasant and kind of like a Strawberries & Cream soft lolly. However, this blend seems to need a lot of experimentation to get right and I’d rather have a drink that tastes great straight off the bat.

drank Apple Crumble by T2

Wasn’t the hugest fan of this as a hot tea, but iced…my goodness!
Bite into a frozen Sara Lee Apple Danish and this is what it tastes like.
So very delicious. You would not regret making this.

Steeped at double strength for ten minutes in boiling water and left to chill in the fridge.

Profile

Bio

Australian tea drinker from Sydney.

I enjoy all kinds of tea except rooibos. Black and roasted oolongs are my true lovers while green tea makes me a little dizzy. Pu-erh I have yet to explore, despite being gifted several cakes. On the look-out for a great herbal tea and also getting the matcha madness.

Have yet to add everything to my Steepster cupboard, but would be interested in an Australian tea swap in the future!

The variety here is not as extensive as other places due to import regulations and the cost of shipping but I own and like stuff from Harney & Sons, Lupicia, T2, Teavivre, Butiki, Mariage Freres, Verdant, Yunnan Sourcing and Whispering Pines Tea Company.
